I think you managed to splice the word encrusted with engraved... we currently have an encrused weapon... but getting engraved ones would also be a fun thing to have...

I agree right now there is a tenitive ballence in what a top/mid/low level weapon is and reletive armours, but going back to the matterials debate, I've been saying we need more diversification within each tech level so to speak. I love that there are now stregth/skill ratios, and how well they ballence in the top tech weapons, but mid and low level weapons still need some work. Many of the stregth based weapons are simply too much more expensive than skill ones of equal stregth, (war hammer, mace, etc.) I'd love to see them balence better. On the same note, iron and copper should be able to to used for such weapons. As Nakranoth pointed out, these metals aren't as hard, but in a club/mace/hammer like weapon, they should be suitable. Remember, there was such thing as the copper age before bronze and we killed eachother quite nicely with the stuff, also, anyone who's ever handeled iron knows that it would take an aweful lot to crack an iron mace/hammer head, even if it would not handle a rapier blade too well.

I also think that the game could use one more level of weapon and armour for the super eliet. Right now there are enough reagons where, I think crossbows and battle axes have become too common, and iron shields can be found almost anywhere. I think Cantr is about due for guns, but they would have to be cost wise a supper exotic weapon, kind of like what dress loafers are to clothing. If it took Bronze, Steel, Aluminum, and one or two other metals like maybe nickel/cobalt/chromium just so that you would need to get things from all over just to make one, it would not off ballence the game, because they would be impractical to arm an entire army with. There could also me a composite alloy shield. (steel, nickel, chromium?) I know this idea with get shot down, but screw it, might as well say it anyway.

I would suggest a Bronze Spear.

There's a grand lack of spears, only bone and steel, and that's a huge gap in technology there.

Sorry if its been suggested before, there's no way I have time to read 33 pages, but can we get a slightly prettier shield? A rich char with a good fashion sense isn't going to want to lug around some clunky iron thing, how about a steel one encrusted with gems? It doesn't even have to offer more protection than an iron shield, just look nicer. Since it's a stronger metal with a more 'ergonomic' design (i think that means what I think it means) maybe it could be thinner and weigh a little less though.

In fact those were discussed, but it got stuck because everyone is afraid to enter stuff in the database even if it was accepted.

Before having guns, we have to get the gunpowder (for minning and quarrying first). And the "ammunition loading/shoting" system for the projectile weapons (even bows and crossbows).

1847-4.01: Billy the Kid says: "Where can I find some urine?"

Do we have all the resources needed for gunpowder? I know about manure, straw, wood ashes and urine for the potasium nitrate; and charcoal and sulfur for the final mix.

That's a point, but the problem about guns and gunpowder ins't even about production(since it's be simple like it IS) is abou damage that can be done by a gunpowder weapon.........i think so

GranAttacker, there are several problems with gunpowder and guns, not only that one (btw, I think the damage issue is the easier to solve)

I suggest that we continue discussing about this in the dedicated threads for this:

Not forgotting the several related comments that we can find here:

lol In fact I did, now we have a feather-rimmed bone shield (and on another topic, several buckles). As I said, other shield upgrades have been discussed but they might not be all thought through.

Iron or Steel Throwing Stars!
Perfect for assasins... they can't be seen carrying one because they are very light but they can do quite a bit of damage.

Could it be possible to have like 5 throwing stars and have them attack all at once kinda like:

You see Ninja Tork expertly attack Pirate Debs with 5 iron throwing stars.

Yea.. this idea seems so lame and I probably wouldn't make throwing stars... but I had to say something!

Image Kinda like this one. Good for savage communities for showing who's the boss. Although most people find wood.
