Not wishing to go into too much detail, but i have a char in Omeo North and some people arrived there a couple of days ago who speak a different language.
I understand i can emote in their language as long as i don't speak it, but i'm not sure what language it is. My first guess was Swedish, but the translator didn't recognise the last couple of things they said.
Can anyone help?

Most full text translators are rubbish. Better to poke at a dictionary and guess on the grammar. This one is pretty good for Polish:

Looks like the encoding is wrong at least in my end, that might make reading difficult in some cases. In international contact, I don't think it's too much to ask that people wrote their emotes in English since at least in the past you had to know at least a bit of English to be able to play the game. Even if those players didn't know much English, I'm sure they at least know someone who does and can translate. While if you use some crappy translator for emotes, the results might be unreadable.
Some of the Polish notes contain an in game dictionary as far as I can remember, perhaps you're not the first English-speaker they've met. So you could learn some words for talking, not just emoting.
If you run into Russians, at least the ones I've met emote pretty well in English. According to the statistics the translation is very unfinished and only a handful has chosen to display the player page in Russian so sounds like it's pretty safe to assume most of them know a decent amount of English.
