I talked with someone a few days ago, and they said to fit in to Italy without being as much of a target for petty scam artists and being more appoachable to the locals that I should wear drab Mao-style clothing... which I do half the time anyway... Is this true about Europeans? Do you wear neutral tones most of the time? I was told that even blue jeans are "too colorful"
