It'd be great if we had the option with the dialog box if we could choose whether we're "saying" or "doing".

So when some one does something it would display as

Person <action>

instead of

Person says "<action>"

...

Just a thought...

Sounds good if your tired of *rollplaying with asterischts and double colons::

But I assume it'd be a check box option, default being say, secondary opt is to do.

I remember a chat where you did this "/a" and wrote out something it would say you said this but you did this, ex. Spider says: whats up then lets say you want to smile all you do is /a smiles and it would come out
Spider smiles.
I was not intoxicated while I wrote this.

it would greatly confuse my little mind to stop using the little star things for actions. i would probl'y end up using the little star things even with it being an action choice.

but im just a creature of habit who studies gremlins that no-one thinks exist, in a world full of condesending adults who forgot they have an inner child begging to be released from the capitivity of their warped overbearing minds. so dont mind me...

Here I am. BITE ME. or not, in fact, never mind, dont want some wacko taking me up on the offer. Only non wacko's may apply for bite allowance.. no garentee that you will be granted said allowance, but you can try.

That was sort of my thinking - have it as an indicator that you're doing instead of talking... but the default operation would be speaking

you see a man in his twenties say: hey, you thief! put down those potatoes! those aren't yours.
you say: /a drops some potatoes.

i think that was the main problem people had with doing something like that.

Before that.... I think there should be a checkcaps thing in the code that converts consecutive capital letter into standard case, and just changes the "say" word to yell.

Spider smiles
it say's "you see Spider Smile"

or "you drop your tunic and wiggle your shiny red butt at Spider"
