This Game Needs To Be Less Addicting

Postby BadMonkey » Mon Feb 12, 2007 10:58 am

I've been dragged back. Most of you don't likely remember me, but I quit nearly a year ago to deal with some issues in my life, but now Cantr has reeled me in again. Off to create my first new character now. Can't wait to see what's changed.

Welcome back.

Thank you. It already feels good to be back.

Game seems the same, so far...

Some general changes, that I've seen (which I miss experiencing back in the day) is the elderly. There seems to be less? and now more of the thirty-year-olds and a steady stream of twenty year olds. I think when people have played up to 40 years and realise their characters have done nothing, they probably experience a mid-life crisis and make them do something thrilling and end up dying, like a massive boat trip, or cause a war, etc.

Not that That's the reason I quit before or anything >.>

Some of them were accomplished by their mid-40's, I'm sure.

Thank you.

This time I shan't be leaving, bar things out of my control. But...I've been feeling guilty about the gaps and lives my characters left behind. And their loved ones.

Actually, thinking about it, that's more of an incentive to not come back.

Yes, but isn't the world of cantr better having gotten to experience your input?

If not, it will be. But not for a while.

Is it more addicting to have left the game for a year and be drawn back, or to play it consistently with the same account for 4 years? :?

I think you have me beat there. By quite a lot.
