Karnon Forest.....anyone think they could sum up a brief history of the place everyone likes to talk about? In a non-capital rule breaking way....

Sure thing:

Ace Grant born in Karnon, finds out there's iron and wood next door, decides he wants an empire and needs someone to control iron. Sends Rick O'Shea, a newly-minted Captain in Imperial Army, to go take it over for him. O'Shea finds HvyThg Jr. there in control, persuades him to accept Imperial dominion. Goes back to Karnon to report, finds out Ace has already made a treaty with Austin Powers on behalf of HvyThg, and is appointed Imperial Defense Coordinator of Forest, while Austin and HvyThg are governors. After a while, rules/regulations get too strict, (ID cards for guests and citizens, rules about who can go where etc., 50g iron limit per citizen, none at all for non-citizens) and once proportion of free-thinking individuals in Forest gets high, O'Shea declares independence. (618) HvyThg immediately falls in line. Powers is away at the time. Raf. Cervantes, Alex Mason, Peter Kilm, Alioet Jean, and Norbert Billington were among the people petitioning for end of restrictions.
Forest starts building war bows and iron shields to defend against possible Imperial retaliation, which never comes. A council is elected to run the forest, consisting of Rick, HvyThg, Norbert, Alioet, and Alex.
Around this time the Cervantes/Blackrock tribe splits up.

Firecam Inc. comes to the forest, starts raising a ruckus--potential for war or at least bloodiness reaches dangerously high levels, but is alleviated and crisis is averted, but Council steps down. New rounds of elections fall through, and Forest is without formal government.
Word reaches KF of Imperial Republic of Karnon.

Blackrock tribe starts expanding. Alex Mason starts locking people up for hitting animals. O'Shea starts Collective to utilize old Council resources. Most old Council members join Collective. Collective then fails to do anything at all except exist on paper.

Norbert, Alioet, HvyThg head to Kwor to free it from Haily Blerks. On the way, they're captured by Ace Grant, who brings an army from Karnon to try to retake the Forest. The Army is captured and Grant is killed by about half-a-dozen Forest residents (and one defactor from his Army)
Around the same time, another Imperial Army member releases Norbert, Alioet, and HvyThg from prison in rather suspicious circumstances

O'Shea heads to Karnon to check it out and see what new government forms, HvyThg heads back to Kwor.

Alex Mason starts exercising more muscle in the everyday affairs of Karnon Forest, and starts locking people up for such crimes as looking at him funny, and eating carrots.

That about brings us up-to-date

And the rise of religous fundamentalism and the Austin/Norbert Incident, which resulted from another biggy... testing the waters for government again... Alex calls Norbert KF's "current biggest threat" Alex builds a crossbow, Alex make inneundo that he may break into Norbert's Citizen Quarters... (this all happened like 10 or so days ago in the wake of the Austin/Norbert incident)

Keep in mind, Alex has bigger enemies than you guys.
