Subscribe to day reports.

It would be very nice to be able to subscribe to day reports. One of these days I will forget to press that button and not get one.

They say it would get stuck if all people subscribed and then went inactive and it would still keep sending them... Maybe you could only subscribe for ten days, or five, and then you would have to click again in order to get them mailed to you automatically. It would show how many days you have left, and you could renew your subscription in the middle as long as the number never went over 10. Or something like that.

Yeah, we used to send them, but it became one of the heaviest server processes, so we kinda stopped. I'm afraid this option would indeed be too popular, which would use too much of our server.

Would this idea be okay, Jos? I think it would be great, personally, if its workable...

Even with timing out to ensure only active users are subscribed ,the load would be noticable.

It's already hard enough to earn them as it is.

If you could buy subscription for one week at a time and in order to get enough credits to keep renewing your subscription you would have to vote several times a day? I doubt many people would bother to do that for long so there wouldn't be so much of a load. And if you notice it's turning into a strain, you can rise the cost of an extra week.

Mmh, and keeping them stored in a database you can search or check anytime if you really need to?

After all it's just text. It shouldn't take an huge amount of space if it's compressed.

Lol, with that credit thing take a quick look at what you just said

So, to subscribe to turn reports you have to do something several times a day every day.

Or, to send turn reports to yourself you have to click on a couple of links once, once a week. Now, I think I know which I'd rather do to get my turn reports

And then my three whole credits can go towards maybe being able to buy a minute once

First off, I never said have it so expensive credit-wise that you had to vote several times a day to keep it... that makes no sense... but honestly, the credit thing couldn't be well done until the credit system is fixed so it gives you a credit for all of the sites... but then it's a sort of extra tidbit of inticement to help Cantr. Sortof a thanks for helping us get more attention. And I'm already aware that people wouldn't vote to get it, but those that vote anyway could get it as a perk.
