Hide and Show all buttons

Postby Kokunai » Thu Aug 11, 2005 5:26 am

Can we get a hide all show all buttone added to the top of the events. Sometimes you have a whole bunch of events listed and need to be able to hide them from the top. Also, you have to go to the bottom to start reading, then you have scroll all the way back down in order to hide them.

This is a pretty good idea, methinks. The closest remedy I have is to hit the Events button again to clear away all the old stuff so I can reach the buttons again. But that trick still doesn't help out much in those incredibly busy towns where you just want to forget about the five pages of rambling.

Try this, hit the hide button once you hit the bottom...then use your back arrow, and everything is there to read...or log out and hit your back arrow to reserve minutes while you read! :D it's much easier than copy and paste option for those busy towns...

How about a "See last day" button?

In large towns, all it takes is 5 actions (or so) and you lose the recent events. Then if you click show all it can take a while to load, as so much is said. A see last day button would allow only a partial loading... I think it would be very helpful for just a small change.

I agree with Sunni, and if you forget your addiction to mice it ain't difficult to hit ctrl+end to get to the bottom.

See last day would be awesome! And yes, the buttons should be (also) at the top of the events, since even though they mostly load fast, if it's a busy place then it might time out before reaching the bottom (usually this only happens with Objects and Inventory though).

I remember there used to be a third button when I was a newbie but I don't remember what it said.

So lets do it, in other words.

I disagree, I don't want more clutter in the main screen.
I already dislike the button that makes your text space larger.
(that one is pointless... if you have to do a large message, use notepad)

Agreed...

Well that's a bit.. yeah, usually when I have something long to write, I use notepad. But I don't think the button is on the way, and it may be useful in some cases. I think it would be good if we could have the view last day button back, the label is still available for translation but the button is just gone. And there's also something that says "show further back".

Not sure how much we need that one, but lets definitely get in the show past day button then.

I very much doubt it would clutter the page very much to have an extra button between hide all and show all, but...

If it's easy to implement (and I think Jos suggested that) it would be a surprisingly useful change.
