Change is good, otherwise I'll never get that helicopter, and I wouldn't have had a cello.

There's changes in real life, and all those changes aren't so good either...

Oasis:
It's blue for me, and certainly has me  curflumaxed. Some buildings and vehicles have it, and some don't. Saving the name doesn't create it. And it doesn't go by age of building.

That's an awesome word by the way...in case you couldn't tell, I was pointing out the word curflumaxed...

How do you do the he wrote...quote thing? I've done it before but I forgot how...[/u]

Well.. I hope the change won't hurt my eyes and head as much as the glare on those bars (they seem to have a glare, but it's probably just me).. :? Oh, I do like how the hurt bar and tiredness bar use different colours to fill with though. I think a new look will be a good change, but I hope it won't deviate too entirely much from the classic style. It needs to retain a taste of it at least. I did like some of the new looks provided by HF and whoever else, but I never really would imagine those bars going with something like that. Wouldn't it be better to present the new look as a whole when it's ready instead of in pieces since they aren't really meant for this layout?

Yes, that was the plan. But a bit of miscommunication in ProgD changed that ;) ... And now we might do it a little step-by-step, so slightly ugly design for a little while, but it shouldn't take too long :-) ...

I did a long time ago ... I try to keep some naive optimism, though ;) ...

Besides, like this we avoid fatal system shock of "OMG they changed the entire Cantr layout I'm going to go kill myself now" :D

The greenness isn't going to change is it? I really like the green coloring of Cantr, it's a classic motif of the game that I would be very sad to see changed. Even if the bubbliness gets incorporated, as long as the green is still there then I'm happy.

I couldn't imagine Cantr being like, orange bubbles or something...eww

Could you make it an option to have the old bars? I agree with hermi, those bars glare too much

I agree as well with you and hermi, they don't fit and don't look good to tell the truth.

They look cheap.

You guys are so motivating to improve things you know ... Do you also consider that someone took the time and effort to try to make it look better? And ok, some will like, some won't, some things need further improvement, but ... this is just incredibly rude.

I only asked for an -option- to have it the old way....

:? I said they're nice (I don't think they look cheap at all), but they don't go with the layout, which now I know it's because you're slowly changing the layout, but that doesn't change the fact that they literally hurt my eyes and head when I look at them very long. I wasn't being metaphorical with that; I was being literal. But I don't have to look at them much so I don't really care.

That's why I had asked about doing it all at once; it's hard to see the new layout looking really nice if all the pieces we see are only pieces clashing with the current layout. I'm sure it'll all work out nice and pretty when it's done, so I won't worry about whatever the changes look like on the current layout since I know it's for a new one now.

I actually do think that the abrs are pretty cool, although when I saw them, I thought "Some people are really going to hate these..." In Keyboarding class, we had to make a Website thing, and I made one with the Cantr Layout. Had to find the exact green...

I don't mind the layout changing, I was just asking if it's going to stay with a green theme. I don't mind if the layout improves, I just think it should incorporate green as its main color, I don't know about everyone else but for me Cantr just wouldn't be the same without the greenness. Idk, sorry if that contributed to your anger Jos, just my opinion, I guess I could get used to it if green is not in Cantr's future.

I like the idea of improveing layout, but agreed, the green must stay without a single 256th of a shade difference... then I'd have to change my sig :(

Also, although the new bars look cooler, they are harder to read b/c your intersecting a gradiant with text without using any colour contrasts. Just as a sugestion, you might want to flatten the background where the % goes so that it doesn't get cut by the colour variance, or put the % off to one side for ease of reading.

Oh and one more idea while I'm still in dorky art major mode. Since the bars are shiny, they should pick up some of the reflected light from it's green surroundings, that way, they should look more intigrated and hurt Hermit's eyes less. :D
#004400 is my favorite color.
