That was by Sjoftich, right? If so, im really upset that the leader went kind of powertrippy, at least in my charrie's mind. She was really helpful in my charrie's getting his love a nice present. he was planning on doing business there in the future, actually within a year, until war broke out and the leader got killed...

But yes, if its the place i was thinking of then i truly agree.

I'd have to say Dhung... has been the most exciting, active place of all I've seen with GREAT role-play and a rich history. Everyone is pretty active and - for the most part - feels like their participating in something much larger than themselves. Good politics too for such a small island. It's like a microcosm of larger islands, but without the years of traveling to get from one place to the other.

Brinks Forest was probably my favorite place to play. There were long times of quiet but the people there were not the dime a dozen stereotypical sort you could find in nearly every other town.

A lot of the dime a dozen sort of visitors who showed up were fun because they usually left pissed off, confused or both. Our laws weren't like other towns and we didn‘t treat our guest with the same sort of respect as other towns. I heard that Trucky and Starn both died so Brinks is probably well on the way to mediocrity now.

Yes, I liked Sjoftich Hills North. A lot more lively than Sjoftich itself, though with the return of some people who had been gone a long time, the town has exploded in activity.

Oh, who did you play? Are there a lot of people now? It was at it's peak before the Sjoftich Hills South battle.

Snavirn!
Peaceful, active, polyglot (Deutsh, Español, Nederlands... Nedlands?), and the heart of a social revolution.

Snavirn Forest South (Puerto Capitanes)
Crowded and very active, still peaceful (pirates of Wirwarov Hills North, you'll suffer!), it is the place where most of the Spanish ships are build.

Kishnakotis.
The biggest city in these Islands, I think.

Kishnakotis Forest East (KFE for dudes)
Gas, wood, an hematite drill, several rare metals around, and a road to Kishnakotis. This is an strategic place. And the people is cool too :D

PS: Sjoftich... I don't know the island where it is, but I know the place Sjofwood. And then I wonder, what does Sjof mean? And Snavirn? Kishnakotis? Blagidavirovitsj?! Which language is that? I guess polish.
Tyche es una malparida. Espero que Ramnus y Pluto intervengan... o no :P

I really like Kiii still, although not much has been happening lately. But at the moment no place feels noticeably exciting or interesting. If something interesting is happening, it's inside my characters' heads. (Too bad eating doesn't light up the character anymore, now I may forget to check some for days.)

They are just made up :) ... For all older islands (which includes all the ones you mentioned) it was really just made up in my head; for the newest islands some random name generators were used as well.

EDIT: Oh, and Russian has often been used as inspiration, although it's not actually Russian. But if I suffered from a lack of inspiration, I just glanced on a map of Russia, and in no time a whole flow of random names streamed out of my head again ;)

EDIT 2: (I hate when people edit posts ....) Sometimes I invented words for some regularities. E.g. I used 'dom' in a lot of town names where there was stone, imagining a town would be established ... or I used 'se feld' to mean 'southern fields', etc. Many such fake language extensions are used, usually consistently on a particular island or area.

It was at it's peak before the Sjoftich Hills South battle
.

Heh. I wouldn't consider it much of a battle.
