My BMI is 20.2, and the normal range is 18.5-24.9. So I am dead center in the normal range! Yay! Thanks for the link Chris.

Oh, and Pie sorry about teasing you, but you know that you had another post on there that you must have taken off.

Alright, so today was very boring. I had a friend sleeping over last night but she had to leave early because she had some college work to do...

I was at a birthday party last night, it was nice, lots of friends were there... We had fun..

I was fasting today (for those who don't know what fasting is, it's refraining from eating or drinking, beginning from sunrise to sunset.) We usually fast during the Holly month of Ramadan, but today was optional... It was a short day so it wasn't very tiring.

I'm staying in today, didn't go out and I'm bored :(

What do you do for fun when you're bored?

Dee wrote:I'm sorry I made it sound bad, but that was not intended at all. A lot of my friends are size 12, so of course I do not think of it as bad or fat, I swear. I like curvy figures too... I have curves, and my boyfriend absolutely loves them... So I don't think I'm going to lose them... The reason I want to lose some weight is because my clothes aren't fitting perfectly anymore, and that's something that's irritating me.

I defintley don't want to be a "ruler girl" (No offense to anyone) I just want to look good. I already have big hips, so when I gain some weight, just the littlest of weight, I look so fat. So, that's why I'm exercising and eating healthier food because I don't want to look fat.

I hope I made my point clear.

I total understand what you are saying. I see no problem with someone wanting to be a certain weight. I am the same way with keeping my size just the way I want it. People tell me all the time "You want to diet, are you loosing your mind??", but they need to understand you are comfortable with what you are comfortable with. I never want to be a size 6 or less again, but I do not want to be more than a size 14.

Also when people hear diet and exercise they automatically assume it is for weight, but that is not necessarily true. I stay on an exercise schedule as much as possible and try to maintain a decent diet because it is healthy. PERIOD. Everyone should at least exercise for 30 mins 2 to 3 times a week to stay healthy (nothing strenuous, walking would do just fine). My family and I even take daily vitamins for the nutrition we lack. We have fewer colds and other small sicknesses than most of the people we know.

Weight is a big problem that Americans have. We are becoming lazy. When I see a slightly overweight person driving one of those wheel carts in Wal-Mart or when I see someone drive 2 minutes away from their house it frustrates me. Then they have the nerve to complain about their weight, but does not want to do anything about it...I honestly feel if you are comfortable with your weight, even if you are overweight I have no complaints, but when you bring your whining to me and will not do anything to help yourself then I have no sympathy for you.

Sorry for the rambling and again this is not intended to offend anyone.

I would usually exersise in the afterschool weight room on monday wensday and fryday, exept it's the holiday, and I got off of wrestling two weeks ago so last week i didn't lift weigts at all.

you know, some people might be "overweight" 'caus they got's MUSCLE!! I totally know this kid, who is big, and isn't fat, but might be considerd "overweight", he's like 180 or something (but i can still wrestle him to the ground) and then theres another kid who's 220 and is totally fat, and phat, and he's a pushover. but a good person to.

and to finish my rambling I will say, I would rather be a good person that phisically fit any day.

Yeah, there are musclar people who are built, but from the looks of that person you know they are not overweight. I was basically refering to those who are, by looking at them, obviously overweight. Not those who are overweight by measurement. (weight and height)

Two things to say, one, it was me who said the weight/ height in inches squared thing ;) (Looks like I'm an idiot  ) And two, there is this guy in my school who must have a BMI of about 30 or something, but he is pure muscle. He weighs 18 stone, and is 6'0, but is literally just pure muscle, so BMI isn't always an accurate indicator (Oh and BTW I reckon this applies to me as well, my BMI may be in the normal range, but I still reckon I have a slightly higher body fat % than I should, and I am not exactly weak but I could definitely do with more muscle)

You do relise that if you're an exomorph, you'll never appear "Thin", just like an endo morph can't appear muscular. Mesomorph are usually the ones used in "Fitness" and modelling, before photoshopping. Find out your body type first before setting any goals of you could feel you're wasting time even when you are getting fitter and healthier.

The three genetic body types. Exomorphs are shorter and fatter, endomorphs taller and thinner, mesomorphs are the "normal" mix of both though are much less common.

Not really, exomorphs will continue to look fat and retain a small excess even with vigorous exercise and a healthy diet. (Think Worlds Strongest Man/Sumo muscular instead of Body Builder). Whereas an Endomorph would look thing dispite putting on muscle (Think Bruce Lee/Sholin monk [Endomorphs are slightly more common in Asian people and Exomorphs slighty more common in the west. Pretty balanced in the Middle east/Africa/Russia]).

Meh, I don't know which I am but I -do- know that after starting going to the gym I feel way fitter (And am quite fit, and reasonably quick now too) and also look better, so, hell, I don't really mind which I am
