Really? Steven had enough healing foods... very little could hit him as he saved upwards of 40 with his shield. And he carried enough to heal himself 4 times over...

It was that which made his bad luck even harder to bear... if those first 2 had only hit... he would still be alive, guaranteed... :x

There is no need to apologise for the actions of characters Make Beliver

It's interesting to hear that it happened like that. As a player, I had guessed the agitation was linked to the not-long gone war, but Lucinda just assumed the accusations were because someone, probably linked to TBR, wanted a cheap way of getting the bike back.

She had had deep reservations about returning to where she knew TBR might be, given her previous meetings and tales she'd heard - but she saw no other choice, her being almost out of food, and the nearest settled place she thought she might be able to get passage being at the other end of the island.

She was exceptionally lucky in dodging those initial blows (she was due some after the continous rounds of animal attacks). The final blow was literally minutes away from Lucinda being too far down the road on the bike for someone on foot to ctach up with her. But that's how things go.

On the carving up of Burgeo isle, I know that Kwor has had intentions of a settllement long before TBR left K-Islse. There was even a formal treaty agreed with some of the inhabitants regarding trade and relations and the development of a settlement. I'd be interested to know if the Kwor plans for settlement are still ongoing? And if they are still based on that treaty?

Though she still has claim to land agreed to in that treaty with the Burgeo natives, it's not Kwor herself (council nor guilds) that has a presence on Burgeo now but rather assorted private enterprises based in Kwor.

Well, looks like Steven was the last one holding healings then because the tribe were down to their last scraps of any literally. But the way things ended i feel had a lot to do with lack of healings.

I don't think the whole Burgeo island actually know of the treaty. And only really the main town the war happened in because a lot is just barren wilderness run by the wild animals. So the fates of the island will be made by a mixture of new age settlers i feel.
 With a passion for hunting i hope.

 Yes like the Dutch and Anglo East India Companies or any trading house in Hong Kong - or Cecil Rhodes in Southern Africa or Haliburton in Iraq

Sorry apologies - off track and my next post will be about the experiences of a TBR survior who made the long trek

EDIT: This was replying to sanchez's post

but healing foods were very rationed as MakeBeliever says

The truce agreement with the ex-TBR/Wolves/Burgeorgialip residents was distributed around the island following the battle. The treaty Kwor made with Moses et al. for lands in another part of the island was not. And neither of these is relevant to the current settlers.

My character found the treaty far from there. It's the only way it knew what had happened. It couldn't go back to find out more; it hurt too much just knowing the very basics it was able to glean from that treaty and some other notes found. The char also found the bodies of a couple of TBR members far from Burgeo that had been killed by animals.

How was that supposed to happen, kidnapping Suzima? My character was pretty sure the attempt to set up KDF Outpost in Kwor Fields was a plan to lock her up there.

He accidently ran into Ethan & co on the road while chasing a thief and thus was able to spot the TBR-group.

Well my character in the war was good ol' Jingo.

If only Nick hadn't been so keen on killing a defenceless prisoner, Jingo would have kept up the fight. However, i guess things turned out well for him, as hes now a proud member of House Dannan, and actually the head of one of their outposts. Still, as an expert fighter he could have been a big help for TBR. Never did get that claymore back though...

Jim died?! O_O

I had a lot of characters involved with the war, because I had so many characters spawned on Noniwrok. Nayn Carille of the Soufields, Kara Miften of Kirinn, Suzima De Dannan, and Nisira (who died at the very beginning of the third? war, I think)

All of whom slept and starved or heart-attacked to death, with the exception of Nisira, as far as I know. :P

Oh, and if you want a story...

I was Kara Miften. Spawned in Kirinn in the 600s. I knew the legendary Klug before he died. And the General who was in charge after him, too- she was nice. I told them my idea and started the Granary within two years of my spawning. Cross was spawned around my time too. I saw his store start up. I spent a long time farming, and loved it. Life was so peaceful. I became a Guardian and helped to fill the Granary. In time, hundreds of thousands of grams of food were stored in there.
In my late twenties, a man came back on a boat that had left. I knew the man who had built the boat, but that man wasn't there. The survivor was from an expedition that had actually found land. The first expedition to find Burgeoralip. He had survived and wanted to go back, more prepared. I and one other chose to join him.
And so we sailed, and were the second expedition to reach Burgeoralip Nhralls or Eshells. I was the one who came back and made it famous as the land of Burgeo. Because I was the only one to survive. We docked our boat on sand, and were surrounded by fierce and towering creatures. They were terribly strong, but the land was so fertile! We explored a little, but the other man who had joined us wanted to make a map, so he wandered off. In the second area we reached, Burgeo proper, there were carrots aplenty. A newspawn even appeared there, confused and surprised. But in days, we were nearly killed by the animals, so we ran back to the shore, to get back to the boat. Beasts killed the newspawn before he could run. As the expedition leader and I reached sand, a beast struck him down, leaving me to run to the boat for my life. I left immediately, assuming my map-making friend to be dead. And as I left, I could still see the shields on the shore, the shields that hadn't been strong enough to protect their owners from the beasts of Burgeoralip.

And when I returned to Kirinn in my thirties, I told myself it was more than enough adventure, and resumed my duties as a Guardian and keeper of the Granary.
We had our note thieves, but seldom anything serious.
I returned to find the Temple of Klug finally built. I had left while it was under construction, but it was a sight to greet me when I returned. Also, Cross's weapon store was doing very well, I remember. He could be gruff, but I think I liked him. I considered him a friend, at least.
The Temple of Klug ran out of priests, so I took up the care of the Temple. I also did a lot of farming, and continued to fill the granary.
I watched many leaders of the Guardians pass away, and tried to call back Guardians from resource trips, but without luck. Scott Lloyd returned and took charge, so I stopped trying.
There was one thief, who took a boat. I think it the boat that had made the first two expeditions to Burgeo was stolen, too. A thief managed to take everything from inside Cross's store, while it had been unlocked for an employee to enter or exit. Cross was pissed, and from then on he was stricter with security. I think I remember him going to Karnon Forest to gather more resources to re-stock his store.

That thief was the only taste of real conflict that we had for quite a while.
Until the bad news came. Trouble, caused by Blackrocks. We'd helped a Blackrock leader once long ago, when he and some lady docked to Kirinn, chasing a pirate. The Blackrock man was very important, very kind. The pirate killed him though, and sailed away. We kept the man's body in the Temple of Klug, if I remember correctly.
We had no experience with the Blackrocks. People came with stories of trouble, but Kara didn't really understand it all. Kirinn was always peaceful, a pleasant place for farmers and a quiet life.

I'm not quite sure when it was, but one day, Blackrocks on boats came and attacked Kirinn with such ferocity and viciousness that Kara could only tearfully compare to the beasts of Burgeo, which had killed without remorse. The Blackrocks kidnapped her, General Lloyd, and a man who knew the General and the Blackrocks. She tried to flee on one of their boats, but wasn't strong enough to maintain control of the ship with all the other blackrocks on board. She watched them murder General Lloyd.
Somehow, she ended back on land, and was traumatized by the events. Never before had she seen so many men kill, massacre people like the beasts of Burgeo. Too much strength given to men without hearts.
Cross was gone, but Kara was never certain whether or not he'd survived. She had a pair of pants she'd made for him. She wanted to give them to him, tell him it was a gift so he wouldn't return it, but she never knew where he was or if he still lived. Someone said he left, but she never saw him again.

I don't remember how she died. It could've been to sleep, or a heart attack. Or maybe she died at the Blackrock's hands. I don't quite remember.

-So anyways, if you say Kirinn was poorly defended- it certainly was. It was a sleepy town of farmers that had face no trouble beyond the occasional note thief or rare pirate. And the Blackrocks were beasts to smash through it with such mercilessness. XP Kara's entire life in Kirinn would've been uneventful except for her trip to Burgeo and the attacks later on.

I remember Suzima, but not from this account. I met her a long time ago with a charrie named Roberto Malar. He joined the Dannan when it was like two of you, but then I got really really bored of the game and let everyone die off and my account time out. It's a shame really, I wonder how things would have turned out if I didnt let Roberto die off, he probably would have been in a position of power on K isle by now.

Kara was well played and there was some interesting rp on that boat she tried to steal. It was damn hard keeping on the ball with docking/undocking, getting that key to the lock my char was working on to stay ahead. My character was near killing her though because of all the things she said and barely refrained herself from giving her that last blow when they finally docked to the Galleon again and Nick said to not hit her again as long as she cooperated. Sometimes she still wishes she'd taken that blow.
