Don't you have something better to do than make clumsy attempts at wit?

Fraction? Surely it would be proportion, or percentage?

Anyways... back on topic, people. This is about weapon diversification, not random comments. :P

proportion and percentages are fractions. 3:4 = 3/4 and 75% = 75/100

This has been updated, by the way. Check the skill weighting values in the Wiki. Basically, the higher the skill weighting, the more contribution your combat/hunting skill contributes to the attack damage. Lower skill weapons depend more on your physical strength.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Debate away...

I still don't like it...

Bite the damned arrow-head and just get rid of skills entirely...

The only skill which had any real effect on play was combat/hunting. Now, that has been by-passed.

I would much rather see skills have a real effect on the game - the extra time is not noticeable in a game which has uch a slow pace. Bring on the implementation of quality of items, or something similar so skills are more noticeable.

Or get rid of them. Jos is clearly not enamoured with them, and changes like this are just reducing the importance or effectiveness of them as much to make them pointless.

Sometimes, I feel Cantr starts to resemble one of those wonderfully cute, very loveable, often impressive, but fundamentally pointless pieces of artwork by toddlers.
You know the kind, and eggbox with paper glued to it, with toilet rolls glued to it, with paper selotaped on, with lollypop sticks stuck to that, with pieces of cloth, some fuzzy felt for good measure and lots more PVA and some crayon decorations...

Or an Acid Jazz improv piece...

Any takers for better Cantr analogies/metaphors?

Sadly that's a pretty perfect analogy, both of them..
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."
