Cantr II: (insert name) died while (insert activity)....

Postby Blackdeath » Thu Dec 14, 2006 6:35 am

Its inevitable. One day your charry is frollicking through the grasslands, picking all the carrots his (or hers) little cantrian heart desires, then BAM. A rabbid goat finishes him off. Now sometimes it has come to the time where your char is ready to leave on to greener pastures (don't know much much more green you can go, but whatever). But others, you're left with the feeling of "what the hell?" I felt like seeing if any of you guys had great dreams with some of your chars and they were cut short, or just a random death messed you up.

Yeah.

I've only ever had one char die, (starving on a lonely road,) but I was very upset when the wife of one of my chars died. If the char himself died, I hope I'd get over it and keep playing for the sake of the others.

Yes, several. Take for example Houri. He had great plans for building a massive steel production industry, and the place he was in was lacking that market, so he would have done very well. Well, he set off to collect hematite, and in two days time he was massacred by animals :S.

Then there is Jessica Cornwall. She had taken control of a town of newspawns by simply being the slightly oldest and most active, and there were many of them, and she was in an old but sleepy town which had many resources she could use. For several years she helped out, then the animal attack, spread out over about three years, damaged her so much they worried her. At 70% health after three years she thought that she should look for some healing foods. She kept always to the roads, as none of my characters have ever been attacked by animals on the roads, and expected to reach the town a few towns along with ease. A wild boar did the remaining 30% in one attack on a road :(. She is the only character I have ever had attacked on a road by an animal.

Then there is Jimbo Bobby, the freedom fighter ;). He travelled to Karnon from Karnon Seaside as he heard about the TBR and knew he must do something about them. He was an extremely intelligent character, and after joining the Karnon army impressed his superiors. He and his friends were put on repair duty, so he kept on asking why they were not fighting the TBR, and always got the same answer, that the best troops were out fighting them at this very minute. He eventually got a halberd, and an iron shield for his efforts, and fell in love with a girl, called Mika from memory. He persuaded her to run away with him to join KORT to fight the TBR and actually do something, stole rediculous amounts of healing foods and a shield and weapon for her and ran away. Five minutes later the entire Karnon army came after him. They kept attacking him but he kept dodging, or blocking, as he was a very strong fighter. He refused to hit them back, but healed the four or five percent damage about 7 attacks did to him. Then I had to go on holiday :S. He was killed over the space of about four days because I couldn't heal him, otherwise he was such a good fighter he would have lived.

Oh and for bizzare there is Jimbo Bobby. He was a chef in Brunoi Hills West working for Brandon, and whilst travelling to Darwin he was killed by a paranoid leader for just about no reason. That made me think WTF?

My first character Josh got stuck in a building and starved to death.
My next character (well, they were made at the same time) Deborah died from starvation on the road I think.
David, died from starvation in the desert.
Ron, he someone broke a law(still new to the game) but they only hurt him up to about 90% health. Soon after, a wild boar did the rest.

Wow, Joshua, you really take huge care of your characters. I have had about 15 die before, and I think that I have played for about as long as you

I've probably had close to 40 characters die in the 4-and-a-half years I've been playing. Things just happen, you know?

Granted, most of them I ended up deleting myself; I'd say fewer than 10 have been killed by other means.

Hmm...
Chase Kiros
Westerly Bourne
Abby Rhode (Shai)
Benvolio (Blojt)
Sam Hill (K-island, King's Landing)
RTS Zheng (Nossé)
Pump Mac Starfish (Aki wanderer)
Tzap Greenwood (Stone Knight)

Those are the only ones I can think of that died of "natural" means.

Hargrove ran out of food and kept putting off going inside to pick up more from the kitchen. He starved to death by accident.

Oh yeah, that's what happened to Tzap too. Should add him to the list.

I had a character long ago on my first account who went into the desert to get oil and fell in love with his partner on the expedition. She died from animals, he narrowly escaped. He returned home in the middle of an attack by rogue pirates and stuff. Again, he survived and went off in search of his town's leader who had fled to the capital with the last of the refugees. Battered and bleeding, he arrived at the capital, and reported to the leader of his town, to her delight.

Now this nation's capital had a guard captain who loved to kill people and didn't much care about who it was. The poor refugee was thrown into prison simply for being injured, despite being a loyal citizen with information on the enemy's whereabouts. The prison guard listened to his story and went out to arrange his release. Good news, she said, he could leave. She asked for a little help dragging bodies from the prison, and the prisoner, being thankful, agreed to help out before leaving the prison.

Then the mean guard captain came in and shot him and all the other prisoners with a crossbow.

So much for the light at the end of the tunnel. =/

How long is that? I think I've been playing for more than one and a half years about.. I've never killed any of my characters on purpose.
I have 15 characters. :D

I have one of my favorite characters being locked up until I starve to death. Interesting turn of events...

Well.... my oldest -alive- character has just turned 39, but I think that my oldest character period would be 42 by now. So that's...... just about a year and a few months I think
