I accidently managed to delete my folder with all reports since I started playing, 690-ish.

I'm now trying to tell myself it might be a good thing, amnesia finally struck my old characters...be patient with them please :)

I don't use turn reports for the reason they become disorganized. What I do do is copy and paste for certain key characters. Francesca remembers every single thing said and done since she spawned, in exact sequence and searchable. So did Zaro Aster and a few of my other key characters way back, but I killed them all off. And who remembers Zaro anyway?

In fact, Francesca began writing a history of New Xanth but stopped when she got to the time of tiredness...the Dark Age as she called it. And of course Zaro wrote a poem, Olympia some songs, and others would have written histories too. Unfortunately I lost confidence in Cantr after that and have never put so much effort into the game since. In fact few histories have been written since those days, I'd say.

I've got every turn report since 810 in a yahoo mailbox. I can't imagine trying to put even one of my original characters into book form.
