I'll put up parts 3, 4, and 5, but not until someone else casually mentions what happened four days ago in the Djorf Hills.

Jeslange, care to break the news?

Actually, I'm tempted to just wait on this a while longer...if poeple know about it, something this major might shape their actions in-game, esp. if they're newer to cantr. PM me if you already know, though, and I'll send you a link to the files.

Maynard got cut down without a chance to say hello  ...and a few people got lucky as hell, perssonally, this is the first time I've seen the weapons in question do so much damage against an iron shield under the new combat system. And the really bad thing is that I was sitting in my com chair playing Manhunt for PS2 and thinking about Cantr while he was getting killed, all I had to do was reach over the nudge my mouse, and click three times and I could have stopped it. But nooooo...I had to beat Manhunt...PLAYSTATION IS EVIL!!!!!!!!! EVIL! EVIL! EVIL!

Back to the subject at hand, I just got my copy of the newest National Library of Poetry anthology that one of my poems was in, "The Colors of Life". I signed away the first printed publication rights to NLOP so I couldn't put it in the collection I put together not long ago, had to wait for this book to be printed. Anyway, here it is, one of my favorites...

Deeper

Look and see
This reflection of me
The casing of this shell
The bucket for this well

Look and you will see
Everything but me
Just my covering
Only what you can see

If you could only perceive
The things you can't see
Open your mind, open the door
A new vision could be born

The bomb to the Church, the missile to the Mosque.
God Bless New Rome! Shouts the Preacher.
Allah Akbar! The muezzin calls.
Where does blame fall?
The Texan or the Frenchman?
The Saudi or the Jew?
The Imperial or inferior?
The Hyena or the Snake?
Caesar and Pharaoh, brothers in Oil
Two royal families of the desert,
Built on the black blood of the earth.
Aristocrats by birth, and friendly from the first.
Faisal and Father. Junior and Fahd.
Fundamentalism they share,
Not the public testaments, of Christ and Allah.
They have a secret fundamentalism.
Prophets of profit, doctors of demagoguery.
Caesar and Pharaoh, live together in the house of avarice.
Caesar and Pharaoh, live together in the house of blame.
The people, look on.
The rich slaves talking, and the poor slaves silenced.
Both beholden to the house of Caesar and Pharaoh,
The house not the houses, for they share residence: in the house of blame.

(I thought of that on the way home, and polished it a little bit as a typed it up...)

There is a Pakistani intellectual named Tariq Ali (in exile in Britain) who wrote an excellent book called Clash of Fundamentalisms on the subject... he also wrote a series of Historical novels, the one I read was The Book of Saladin, an excellent work also.

Very good stuff here...I like it all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drink poison of the bee
Squeeze the juice
Tie the noose
toungues run loose
Velvet dry sea
Children run free
The infinite key

Love life by touch
Feel pain in fire
Trust hidden desire
Minds will tire
Oral sex and such
Body feels much
Exploratory pleasure hutch.

Never hold your farts in. They travel up
your spine, into your brain, and that's where you get shitty ideas from.

Done on the same night as my other cantr image, and inspired by Cosmo's little suggestion and too much 'medication.'

Yeah. I need help. I know.
