It's a big game, is there something specific you need help with? One good rule is always check if there's a note that says laws in the title and then obey it - until you've grown strong enough to wipe your arse with it. And have you read the "Your first Cantr day" article in the wiki?

Yes, definetly read "Your First Cantr Day" in the Wiki, at can be axessed from the Cantr Home Page. Secondly, just stick with the game, the first few weeks might seem a little confusing, and not so much fun, but after a few weeks you will get a good feel for things and then the fun starts. The game is totally amazing, and you will see that after you play a week or two.

Secondly, do not talk out of character unless it is 100% nessacary, and if you do need to, then try to whisper it to whoever you are asking. It keeps a better atmosphere for other players when you don't post it out there for everyone to see. Here is an example of how to ask a question out of character while in the game.
(OOC: How do you drag a person?)

Something like that will be good. Last of all, make sure you always follow the few rules, mainly the CRB(using information gathered by one of your characters to influence another one of your characters, and OOC influences(like gettng mad at someone on the forum and attacking their character in the game, or alot of other OOC influences). Just remember that your character has his own induviduality, and should not be affected by things that go on in real life, or with your other characters.

Hopefully that helps you out some.

Yes, stick with it. I almost gave up. It's particularly difficult if your char is somewhere where no-one will talk to him, in which case get some food and walk... which will take days and is even more boring, but eventually you'll find one of my nice kind chars who'll help you, or lock you up, or stick a sword in you... but at least you'll get a reaction.

I did give up the first time round :S, but then the second time around I stuck with it and it is a great fun game, given a chance. Well.... let me see... suggestions...

Ok, first, try to create your characters with a personality. It is all very well being a character who appears, asks where the nearest food is, and then spends his life mundanely doing things, but you will not find it is fun as RPing with some personality, including the good points, and also the odd quirks of personality.

Secondly, set yourself goals. These can be as simple as "build a house", or as complicated as "set up a small buisness within a town, and then use it to gain a following in a town, and eventually kill the town leader and take over the town". That way you always have something to aim towards, and also it is always exciting when one of these plans is knocked off course by something and you have to try to get it back on track.

Thirdly, and this is more a plea than anything, make some evil characters! There are too few evil characters these days, because everyone tries to be good, but yes, the advice part, if you are making an evil character, try to build up some sort of strength first, either some infrastructure, such as a locked door, a strong weapon, and a crowbar if you are in threat of being placed in jail, or a following, which is always really useful.

Well, there's a few hints ;) Have fun playing
