Hello Again

Postby Theon Stark » Fri Nov 10, 2006 12:00 am

A returning player, and having read the forums recently, i seem to be bucking the trend with so many long serving players and admins leaving! I originally had to leave as i got married and went travelling with my wife for a long time, forgetting to put my account on hoilday, and being unable to login due to the remoteness of some of the locations.
But the Itch needed to be scratched and here i am again with a brand new group of 20somethings. I wasn't a prolific poster before, and probably wont be again, but i'm an avid reader here, and look forward to getting back into the Cantr world again.
So... hello again!

Well its nice to have you back. I always enjoy seeing veteran Cantr players return, it gives me hope that there might be a few more decent characters. *smiles*

It's a trend. Technically those that are leaving aren't even players that have been playing as long as others that haven't left. It's just that those that are leaving are more vocal on the forums than those players that have been playing longer.

Martin said somewhere he hoped to finish it by 2007.

I'm finishing up book 1 right now, it's a great series

I've just read the two short stories. I remember the one knight's BRAINS falling out when he took off his helmet! (In The Hedge Knight) They had the tournament there in the end.

Yes, a reader of GRRM, and a stalker of his website for updates on when the next one'll be out. I know its a terrible thing to say, but i hope he gets a move on and manages to finish the series before... he not as young and thin as he used to be... :?

I left the game by not being able to log in for ages and my charries died, the acount on the forums stayed active though.

The trip was great, from tiny islands in the Indian Ocean, to the metropolisis (metropolii?) of North America, to the jungles of Central and South America... quite a honeymoon! 8)

Any chance you would tell us who you played from your first account?

I think the most notable ones were Trey Hunter, lived and died around the Quillanoi area and was part of the Lake Village Trade Co-op, Arturo of Lehaven Downs in the Lovely Plaekur Hills, and Liandra, probably not well known, but the Longinazy Peninsula Travellers Guide was all her own work! The rest were all happy little workers in their respective towns, I do miss some of them, and its interesting coming back and seeing some of the small things i left in the game still there in some places.
