I only read the first couple of posts so this could have and probably has already been said, but, this is an awful idea and takes away what is cantr, realism!!!! When trading something in real life it is nearly impossible to give things at exactly the same time, and when someone gives you something there is nothing to stop you running off in real life. Except of course the police, which would have to bed an in game change, which many places already have, so what this suggestion is trying to do is take away what is cantr and turn it into an automated un life like game where everything is fair.

The problem is finding the right balance. In Cantr, most players don't check their characters every turn. A person can run away and be too far for the person who got cheated to catch by the time he knows what happened. This is also not very realistic. So we have the fair trading system, which is too utopian, and the current system, which is isn't trustworthy enough.

But than again, we also can't hide in between buildings, or stuff like that. So, it's kinda balanced...

Moved: Rejected as this should dealt as a in game interaction among characters rather than a programmed system.
