Ok, so, I am having a really hard few weeks at school since I am set six courseworks, quite long courseworks, ranging from 15 to 20 pages each at the moment. Well, of course since it's the weekend now was the time to get some done, so I brought four home from school with me. On Saturday I managed to do my chemistry, and Sunday I set about on my English, which was a comparison of 'The Stolen Child' by W.B. Yeats and 'La Belle Dame Sans Merci' by Keats. So I write this english essay, and it takes me six hours, I then ask my parent to make certain the grammer is ok since sometimes I do too long sentences, and I do my Biology in the hour it takes them to check through the twenty pages. I then spend another hour explaining certain parts to them as they arn't exactly great with complex grammer, maybe another half hour saying "No, that part -is- ok" and then another hour slowly checking through the change here and there they think I should make, so I've been working on this English essay, mixed with Biology, for around twelve hours already. I am get it done, but am freaking sick with it by the time I am. So, as a family, we decide to watch TV, well, what's on? We have Sky + so we can tape shows and we had a decision of Torchwood, Strictly Come Dancing or Robin Hood. We choose Torchwood, because I am sick of working and it, being the spin off of Dr. Who, is nice light easy veiwing. It begins with a woman taking pictures of faeries. I think, and say, oh god no, not more faeries, as both of the poems were about faeries. It continues, and one of the faeries says the line "Come away O human child". Here I just sit jaw wide open, as this is a line from one of the poems, 'The Stolen Child'. A co-incidence in diologuewriting of course, but I still mention it because it sucks. Well, the show continues and guess what, it is based on the damned poem! Actually based on it, as in it quotes the whole refrain and everything! A single poem by Yeats written in the 1800's that I happen to be writing an essay on and the show I watch afterwards is based on it! I'll admit, I'm throughly pissed off at my TV right now (and a little spooked :S)
Anyone else ever had the TV just take the piss?

That's actually a pretty kickass story. Yours, that is. Never read those poems. Made me laugh. Thank you very much for sharing it.
Sounds like you work hard. That's good to hear. They say it pays off, you know.
I don't know what take the piss means. But one day I came home from something I was doing, and COPS was on.

I've possibly been on street crime Uk before. Some of the guys from my gym have been on many times (I know alot of bouncers and was meeting one to drop off a disk I'd made to fix his pc). I'm only in the background but still I'm there, or at least the camera crew were filming where I was standing. (Dunno if it got cut or what).
