Show the yield upon completion of repeating projects.

Postby David » Thu Feb 05, 2004 11:23 pm

I suggest that the amount of a resource that drops on the ground when someone completes a cycle of an abandoned repeating project be shown.

*nods* Yeah. It's been a problem especially since people are rushing to finish all the iron projects.

yes or even make it so that if you take oer an abandoned project the good's you gather go into your inventory and not onto the ground.it might encourage more people to complete abandoned project's that way.cause i know in busy area's it's not worth it as someone will steal it before you awake a lot of the time.or the government will rules it's on the ground we get it grrrrrr

I also need to add, that when an abandonded project is finished, the materials should go into the person working on it (If the initiator didn't return.)

For example:

"Bob" starts a project, and walks off. "Bobo" joins the project. Bob returns and, even if working on the project or not, the resources from the completion go into Bobs inventory. If Bob were not there when the task finished, Bobo, or the first person to start participating, recieves the resources.

no, i don't like that. let's say some one had to stop their project in the middle but was going to come back to it, anyone could come along and finish it, thus stealing there stuff and there would be no evidence at all on the events page. that's very bad.
but i do think it should tell you the yield of your repeat projects and it would be really nice if it told you the projected yield of each project in its information page, instead of just the percentage done.

Yeah, that's a good point. Someone -could- steal the task, too. Perhaps it could be my way, only if it's been over 200 days, or the initiator is dead?

And, toooo baddd David. We're stealing the glory and turing the idea into a superidea :D Hehe

Yah but super ideas have a funny way of not getting implemented... usually. Moderate ideas tend to make the cut... and 5 moderate ideas add up to a super idea. And since the ratio is like 10:1 moderate v. super... its more useful to put forward moderate ideas... ROFL

Fine then. Using my Godlike powers, which I got from who knows where, I offically classify your idea as a "Basic" idea, and mine as a "Moderate" idea. Therefore, both will be implemented.

(Psst: Can I borrow $20 to bribe the programmers so we can get these ideas in the game? Hehe)

Your deductive skills prove that you've determined ONE of my characters on Cantr. Oh, my stones are magical too, by the way :) *Smirks*

I really like David's idea of knowing the yield for a repeat that has been completed. It's getting annoying especially in places like Dory,Brunoi and Pok..noone wants to do repeat projects because someone else takes them since the worker has no proof that they have been completed.
