I really want to thank everyone for all the warm wishes I've gotten. This was not a decision I undertook lightly, and I am very upset about it still. I really miss my characters and the game, and it breaks my heart that some of you are as upset about this as I am. Cantr never was just a game. It was a second home, and my characters, and some of yours, I considered my friends. I'm greatful that during my time here I've made some very good friends outside the game, and I want to assure all of you that I'm not going anywhere. I never understood how Sho and Nick could lurk around here for so long and not even have an account, but now I do.
I wish I could have planned this better, but sometimes life has a tendency to pop up and bite you in the ass. My wife has always been upset over the time and emotional energy I invested (if cantr was cigarettes, I'd be a 3 pack a day smoker), and I made some mistakes that brought things to a head. I thought in leu of flowers or candy, I would give her back the part of my heart that hasn't belonged to her since I joined this game. Cold turkey was the only was I could do it.
I am so sorry, and I am sad, but I know my life will be better for it, and I know that if I can keep the virtues of my characters inside of me (because, they were there all along, just clawing to be released) and deny their vices, I'll be a better person for it as well.
Love you guys.

Nice and memorable work you done here in Cantr.
Don't be sad, you have won good things, and leavingg your account and possition won't make you lose all that good moments and friends.
And I'm sure your example will inspire more Cantrians.

I honestly don't see how Cantr can consume someone's like so much, I understand you going cold-turkey but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy visiting the game once every two days for 5 minutes... you don't HAVE to spend hours on it, some days I just check characters- 15 characters, 15 seconds to open and read each one, thats about 4-7 minutes.
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."

I couldn't enjoy playing like that. What's the point? I played to play, not to sleep.

It was anything but a farce. I'm curious as to why you despise her so much. She never did anything to your character that I can recall.
Oh, and I think blowing up my characters names like that was very rude. I shrunk them out of courtesty to those who might click the thread but not want to know.

Either post them or don't, personally I thought it was juvenile to post them like that, I will remove them I suggest you do the same and stick them in the character name directory where such things belong and won't disturb those who don't want to know.
I don't despise her. My character (Thombo) thought she was hot headed and foolish and dragged the town guard into something unwise. It seemed out of character to me that a wise man like duncan would just agree to all her stupidity, but hey love does strange things.

The fact that you think Duncan was in any way wise suggests you really didn't know Duncan at all...
Regardless, I don't actually know what you're talking about. The only time she was involved with the Guard, she was acting under his orders.
I posted them in this thread because there are players who probably would be interested in knowing who I played but avoid the other thread because they don't want to know who currently playing players play.

Phalynx: Pot calling the kettle black... Wichi was rather pissed of you posting something about him in tiny letters, something along the words "now why doesn't that surprise me?" when he had agreed with something I'd said. If you can't said it in full voice, don't say it at all. While in this case, Doug had a very valid reason for using small font size.

Like it's 'juvenile' to post tiny text but not juvenile to take that text and blow it up just to be an ass.
Phalynx is just being his usual self...now why doesn't that surpise me?
Probably because he always acts like an ass.
