Xander, if your character in Cantr City had never met the character he claimed to have murdered, that's a CR breach. Also, do you really want everyone to know all your characters? Most of us tend to try to keep it on the DL. Some of us old folk know who plays certain old and/or notorious characters, but few announce all of our current characters to the world.
Just a suggestion.

This kinda makes me think of a possible CR breach I experience with one of my chars. He claimed he was a general of a large army of a made up place. He made up all the names and everything(they werent even like real places). The people of the town didn't believe him, although they really didn't have any reason NOT to believe him, besides the fact that the maps they had did not have the places on them. Seems a bit shady to me :p

Your char wasn't CR Breachy at all... he had delusions of granduer... by the same token, that character could claim to be the ruler of a vast Empire that stretches to every corner of the real Cantr world or a certain region... all he would need is knowledge of the name of the region IC to say that...
The basis of building power or an Empire is to get other people to believe your delusions of granduer. Reality is only what we agree it is, our shared delusions are what make up society.

Oh, I wasn't saying my char had the CR breach. There's did, because they doubted, with no real evidence, that the place I had made up existed, based upon ooc knowledge that of course the place I had made up did not exist. Whereas if I had said that I had come from some real cantr place, even if there chars had never heard of it, they probably would've believed me. See what I mean?
