The Cantr Game Background

I have school, some of us have work.
And we're addicted, and must fill these cravings.

PROBLEM!

The colour scheme is like.. EXPLOSIVE! It really gets the Boss's or Teacher's attention- and god damn fast!!

Please, please can we JUST have an option to turn background colour off- nothing more if you don't want to.

Like I said, people checking their accounts during school and work hours have to watch their shoulders.
Please don't say, 'You shouldn't be checking them at that time' because some people don't have internet access at home.

In Firefox you can turn off styles, so the background becomes white. Dunno about IE and others.

For me, please, white background, black text and blue links (without green buttons).

Aahhhh, so that's what's wrong with my parents computer. They must have styles turned off. I hate checking Cantr at their place, because you're right, the little happy faces don't light up when it's a white background.

I support this suggestion as well, though if the colour scheme can just be turned off on any browser, perhaps it's not really needed?

As long as it is ONLY an option i agree to this. But as i have become used to the green colors of Cantr, i dosen't whant anything else.

It is in progress, however it would take a while until implemented.

That was unnecesarry and ridiculous on an almost Pie-like level.

However I would like to see a color scheme that isn't...well...puke green. Optionally, of course.

I have tried using Cantr without style sheets today and it has been mostly fun, it seems that it loads faster that way (though this might be just my imagination). The only big problem is not being able to see if a character has new events, unless holding the cursor over the icon, then it says "new events! Go to page of ". If only that text could be visible... A stripped version of Cantr would be nice, but it needs to be functional, user friendly.

It's going to take ages?? Can I just program it (with several backdoors into your system) and hand it to you within 2-3 days? Isn't it just a matter of putting some php code wrapped around the background html tag, adding a button to the player options, adding a thingy in the database, and walla?

Or in IE you could just try

Tools -> Internet Options -> Accessability -> Ignore color specified on Web pages -> OK

Badda bing badda boom, no more green. It also adds a new twist to visiting the forum.

After that you will have the way to change the option, but this option would not have any realization. You'll need to move formatting from HTML to CSS, make interface for players to create their own schemes (skins), make a mechanism to generate buttons with apropriate color and some other minor details. I'm not pointing in just making Cantr background white, but more sophisticated system.
