In IRC tonight there was one player who said they had a char who fell in love with a girl over the last two days ... and she spawned early on saturday ...

Was this character Rob Stainton? :(

The staff do what they can to fix problems as they come up. I have several characters myself that this database problem tends to cause problems for since we've had to go back three days. But what's happened, happened. It's not like the staff killed the server on purpose to screw up all your characters lives. I'm not exactly happy that I have to go through certain thigns again or that they'll be played differently now but you deal with things as they happen. Chris and Jos...I'm sure others on staff have been working hard to save what they could. It's not the staff's fault that the database was corrupted. I think being reverted back a few days isn't that big of a deal if you look at the whole picture. So you have to do things a little different...maybe certain people were supposed to die and didn't...so find another way. Big deal. It's a game, get over it and move on. I do want to thank those on staff working so hard to solve the problem. Lost three days but it could have been a lot worse and I appreciate the hard work and the time they spent putting the game back in working order as quickly as they did.

I don't think anyone's blaming staff. We're just thinking out loud vis-a-vis the in-game ramifications.

I've heard a few people now complain that the staff should have done more to stop this database corruption thing in the first place...then they list off what they could have done to prevent it.....blaming the staff is stupid and is what irriated me and was the reason for my previous post. It's pointless and doesn't do anything but irritate the staff putting in so much work to try to resolve the problem for these people so they can continue to play. It just irritated me tonight to hear staff being blamed when they're working so hard.

Sorry deadboy, but Anita Silverstone was so annoying with all those .....'s and gee, that scene they had with Rob Stainton was just sickening! The guy is like fourty something and the girl was just born. For god's sake, what a dirty old goat. Eww. I would call it a godly invention, having to watch it might have lead my character into murderous rage later on. (Now it may be delayed by years.)

But anyway, I'm gonna do what I should have done the moment I docked into that town and that is to get the hell outta there. Since 40+ people are bound to be noisy, who ever they are.

I'm skipping school because of this all...

You know, I really dislike the revert because from what it seems, there were some hard working rp that hadn't happen in a while...and then it was all for nothing.

Yeah man that is what I was saying, it is CRB. But anyways, ill just let bygones be bygones.

:D , ah, it's always refreshing to hear someone call one of my characters annoying, well..... if that is she ever counted as existing :S.

Anyhow, she was my attempt at conveying actions through body language rather than words, which is suprisingly difficult, but I did not want her to be a mute (Like Marlo),as I found it to be -too- much of an impedement to his nature.

Thanks for not getting mad at me, deadboy. Looks like you can see the bright side in everything. Personally I'd be totally crushed if someone told me they'd be happy if one of my characters had never even spawned.

And shut up 15454, it might get worse if you jinx it.

Well personally I think we should go back to like a day before my favorite charrie died, and then I can use it as an arguement that the god brought him back to life and he did indeed turn a new leaf.

I never knew it was this hard to lose one's first charie to the sword... Im still wishing I rped him a little differently, not so bipolar, so that he might still be alive.

So would I :P. In fact I imagine a great majority of the playerbase for the game would quit

Elros wrote:Secondly: I had robbed 2000 grams of popcorn off of the ground and ate it, and now since the clock reset before then, the town leader went and picked up the popcorn because he knew I would take it. I think that is sorry RPing there.

Is there any town where an awake leader would just leave 2 kilos of popcorn lying on the ground? I don't see what the problem is there....

Thirdly: Since my charrie stole something 2 days ago and got away, when the clock went back they threw me straight in jail even though I ha not even commited the crime yet(kinda like th Minority Report movie).

Now that right there is a blatant CRB. You should report them if you haven't already.
