Hmmm, Someone ha been very active posting tonight. :D

But Yeah, cannibalism, would be great. That way we won't have to bury them bodies anymore. Just cook 'm.

Or if people cant pay their taxes (Sil). To pay their debt to the community. "Cmon, everybody has to do some sacrifices, now, put your head on that stone while we get our hen... uh, lumberjack".

Anyway, Krif (before a certain berserker was executed) and lad wouldnt need any farming anymore.

If cannibalism was allowed there's many remote "elephant graveyards" with half buried people all over.

But back to the priate theme.

What about a steel bow or ram as an addition to a boat?

"Turn her into to the wind. We've got to get up to ramming speed."

On another several others hands...

What about whaling? This is where most oil came from before land oil could be drilled.

Laying and retrieving crab traps?

Fishing nets?

Explosive sea mines?

Underwater travel where oxygen was carried in grams in a tank?

Oh, this give me so many lovely ideas.

How about adding some better sailing vessels though? Maybe something like a schooner, a sloop, or a brigantine.

If you need help on ship details and types, parts etc. feel free to drop me a note. Tall ships are a huge interest of mine.

Same here, except they don't have to bee "tall"

But then, i am a sailor... Yeh, i got a tat of a 3master. Part of the job i guess.

And yeah, for boarding action we need bigger ships, and faster. And i stick to my idea of cannons, why catapults? if there' heli's flying around? Why not cannons? (and an AA battery).

Cannons are totally out of synch with the rest of the viloence, if we have cannopns we would also have pistols muskets ec, catapults would mean we would need some kind of arterillery system, unless they can only be built on ships, but even then what if someone wants to shoot at a town?

"Greek Fire" then?

Cannons came before guns as it's more difficult to make a thin gun barrel that will not explode than to make a large one. It's basically taking a "church" bell and making it thicker in the begging.

And if people want to fire t at a town, it would mainly do building damage. A few people would receive damange equivelant to some of the stronger steal weapons. It's not like the things can be aimed without a whole lot of math behind them.

If we have ship's artillery that can bombard city's then we'd need a coastal fortress for the city's as a countermeasure.Otherwise a city without ships of their own to counter the attack would be sitting ducks.

Maybe by building cannons (or cat's or whatever) wich could be loaded into the harbour?

In Medieval times people (on malta) cut a hole in the roch and filled it with gunpowder an loaded it with a round peace of rock. Those were used to Bombard enemy flees. By the way, The siege of Istanbul, (constantinopel) was won because of the ottoman cannons, They were huge. I don't remember what year but it was long before handguns.

And indeed goodwin, The first guns were casted in bell foundry's.

They will continue to travel for however they were set. Most are stopped. I did see one that was continuing to run into a coastline.

the biggest problem with introducing larger tall ship's would be the number of people who need to on board to sail them effectively.even the smaller brig's in the british navy had around 50 people on board to sail and fight them.they could just sail with many less of course but in order to work properly they neded enough men to form 2 shift's ad both shift's had to come on deck to fight them properly. the big 3 decker's of 100 gun's could have anywhere fro 300 for smaller ones to close to a thousand if it was one of the big frenchies. the french used to routinely put double the number of men aboard compaired to the british.

Your not programming (and neither am I)
That's why.

My simple opnion. If a machine was built aboard called something then the DOCK button would appear when you see the boat. If the boat moves while you are docking with it then the docking is cancelled.

this'll be great in about another year RL when the number of boat's with deaden's on em is increased but if it's moving you couldn't get it and who'd really start a salvage company unless the number of boat's to be salvaged was greatly increased.
