What about being able to make additions to a building instead of being committed to one type of structure, for instance say you build a hall but then decide you want to have a tower on it, then all you gotta do is modify the building whatever and add your tower on. Basicly being able to customise buildings to an extent is what I think a lot of people are after: add/ remove windows, extra rooms for cottages(as we already have but using....WOOD!), towers, different doors such as hidden ones - possible use with furniture and more and more which I won't post because that would deprive the rest of you from posting them.

i think we need to somehow make the door's a seprate part to the building so you make a building then make the door for it and have different level's of door's and lock's.the simple door's and lock's can be broken with a project and no tool's but heavier lock's and door's need tool's. maybe even a battering ram that needs 4+ char's to use like the one's swat guy's use

No, I think what is rediculous is that a prison which has no garrison or anyone checking on the prisoners, or all the guardsmen have since died or left, that a person shouldn't be able to break out in many of several ways without anyone watching for years...
THAT is what is rediculous, not making people able to break out of an ungarrisoned abandoned prison.. As far as tunnels and burying... etc... can't bury bodies etc... that is a function of game balance to keep ppl from being mass murders with no chance of being caught. In real life situations anything is possible as far as that goes, I can name specific prison breaks where you couldn't exactly bury a body but you COULD make a tunnel... the Clint Eastwood one lol... or the REAL great escape etc...
It is not a function of game balancign to allow abandoned prisons to hold someone forever with no way for them to get out, it just happens to be the way the code is... You could make it so that the second a guard come's in, they can stop this special project fo breaking out and work against it... or just stopping it altogether by seeing it... and it would be a very very long project. But the more people you have in the prison the more viginlant you have to be, because it would be faster... thus making it so that individual cells may be neccesary if you have 50 people locked up, otherwise they can break out rather easily...

exactly...although there'd have to be a way to hide the project...like it takes a certain amount of time to hide it, as long as the project is hidden, you can't work on it, and other people still have a certain chance to find the hidden project when they walk in, but if they didn't find it when they walked in, then it will stop giving them a chance to find it when they walk in, until the project is unhidden.....that way, if the guards regulary checked in at a certain time, you could simply hide the project right before they came in..

I like that idea, except it shouldnt be stopped if the guard "sees" it. We must allow for sleepy guards
