Hello. A year or two ago I used to play Cantr alot, but then I stopped. Now I have gotten back into it. I have a few questions though:
Can you eat cod raw?
Can you use a stone hammer instead of a normal hammer?
What does a stone table do?
How do you make steel?

Yes, you can use a stone hammer in the place of a regular hammer.

Yes, it does. The rest you have to find out in game, though. :)

Are you sure about that?

Anyways, all of these questions can be answered in game. They aren't really suppose to be answered out of game.

I know, but many others reveal things to other players in the game. For instance: That one about the massacre one that island, what if I had a character that was about to go to that island; now I might not go there!

Then that's breaking the Capital Rule. You can't use any of that knowledge in game.

In other words, he PMs people until someone tells him. At least that is what I think he is referring to since he sent me a message along those lines.

No i'm talking about in the game, that thing was because i was trapped and you seemed to know stuff.... i mean that if i'm told something here and ppl keep bothering me about not being able to use it in the game i would just ask a whole mess of ppl in the game.

Yes, we do discuss events that have occurred or about places in Cantr. For one thing there is a current rule that bars people from discussing events no older than 4 days.

The difference between discussing events and asking questions like yours is the purpose. We do not discuss events to warn each other that something is happening so our character stay away. We discuss events to mull over things that have happened fron our perspective as a player since we can't do that as a character.

Asking questions like 'Can you eat cod raw?' can be found out by having your character ask other characters if you can or if there aren't anybody around or nobody knows then experiment to find out. The same can be done for all the other questions you asked.

About your example of the recent massacre on the Shai Island; Yes, you could but that would using OOC information IC which is a breach of the Capital Rule. You could come up with some flaky excuse but the question you should ask yourself is what your character wants. Your character doesn't know about the massacre on the island he is heading to so would he just suddenly change course. Probably not.

Ok, I am sorry that I asked the damn question.

My point was that it would be hard for you to go to a place that you know your character will be killed there! And I know that breaches the capitol rule, but so does asking other characters about the place (The player KNOWS the answer and cause the character to as well.

why the hell would you have wanted to go to that island, even before the massacre?
I'm not dead; I'm dormant.
