Oh, I got this cool idea. How about having resources on the ground sorted by weight? Naturally you would see the big piles first while some lonely gram of something would be insignificant, and at the end of the list.
Started thinking about this while waiting for the page to load... And all I wanted to see was tools. Yet here I am waiting for loads of resources to load. Hmm, although I suppose it wouldn't help with the tools. But it would still bring some sense into how things are scattered around.

The objects on the ground could be organized as the inventory:
- Show notes
- Show raws & items
- Show coins
- Show keys
- Show all
Perhaps another distribution would be better, like:
- Show notes
- Show raws & items (including coins and keys, which are rarely found on the ground)
- Show dead bodies
- Show machines
- Show all
Something like that; you get the idea.

Like Seko's idea about sorting by weight. Obviously you see the bigger piles first and after some searching finds the smaller things.
But adding new buttons that sorts the different things on the ground is kinda crazy.
In a bag you can sort things in different pockets. But on the ground you have no such things. Yes you can put the different things in different places on the ground and sort it like that. But they are all still on the ground.

I kind of don't think it's needed. Locks are in the middle, tools down the bottom, notes at the top and resources in the middle of locks and notes.

Well, the main point of the idea is not creating more clicks, but to actually just organize things a bit better when it is all displayed on the page at once. Tatteredshoelace actually suggested the same thing a few months ago, which I think led to the inventory change as a kind of compromise since we couldn't decide on how to best organize it in staff discussion.

I do have a town leader, and I get my minions to clean it up. XD lol, serious, I'm just like "Ohhhhh I'm feeling reaallly tired today and all... ahhh, wish someone would pick up that junk......" lol. But the character treats them well so I guess it's okay.

Perhaps some captions would be nice:
=========================================
Notes:
a Note -Laws in this town-
a Note -Looking for employees-
a Note -Citizen list-
Raws:
234 grams of meat
56 grams of hide
166 grams of large bones
Corpses:
Machines:
a Small fire pit
a Drying rack
Items:
a loin cloth
a brand new stone hammer
a brand new bone knife
a brand new bone shield
=========================================
Keys and coins could go in the items list.
