The best place by the fire...

Postby BlueNine » Sat Aug 26, 2006 6:44 pm

Hey, did look around if this has been pondered (isn't that a nice word :)) before but I may have done a "blokes look" and missed it so soz in advance buuuuuuuut:

Which town/place in Cantr do you think is the best overall (whether it be because it has good RP, active players, nice resources or maybe just a lot of newspawn thieves you love to hate!)

Which town/place (if any :P) do you think would be the ideal place for a newbie to start in (i know its kinda similar but there might be differences...)

and why...if you feel like saying :)

Seatown Gardens is great eveyone there is very Newbie friendly. Not a violent person there, not counting Rickard  (I should know I was a nebie and spawned there)

My other char spawned in Mirovash which isn't nice to newbies. People in Mirovash tend to ignore plites for help. If I was new and spawned in Mirovash I would have been so mad. Eveyone ignored me and so I stole a bunch of stuff and left town.
Just because I'm not paying attention doesnt mean you can yell at me.

It means you should talk quieter.
Seriously shut up, I'm playing here.

Best place is Aki Jahido Sover.

Within minutes of spawning (ok, within minutes of me noticing you've spawned) You get food, a bone knife, a shield, the best weapon we have available, and the backing of the community.

Now if we could just get more of the people there to be individuals and ask for help, things would be perfect.

New Xanth and Sjoftich Hills (north) are most active for me!

At Agar: in sjoftich hills north, I've seen the newspawns receive full clothing, food (of course), an iron shield (or if there is none on a rare occasion, a wooden shield), as you said the best weapon available at the time, access to a building full of every single bone tool and a few other types of tools, a promised room in the future, supplies to begin their own business, backing of the town as you said, a smooth supply to iron and steel when ever needed, a constant job, and heavy protection of others, and a future vehicle...

Though of course, this is just because it has tradable coal I think.. not sure.

Sjoftich hills? And to think that place used to be infested with the sleeps and sneezes and no one ever spoke. (That was some 30 years ago or so.) I would imagine people becoming lazy if they receive everything straight away. Starting with bone things, then gradually advancing to iron gives them something to look forward to.

I was spawned there about 7 IC years ago. I was there maybe five days and myself and a bunch of others were helping to get food prepared so that we could survive. There didn't seem to be anybody around when along comes a ship who is asking the one person who seems to know what's going on in Aki to buy his building. He dies. The next thing I know they're indoors building locks. Then I'm dragged off and told that we'll be told why we're dragged in and that noone will be harmed, yet when the rest of the people are being dragged in they're health is between half and three quarters. I died. I wasn't even close to a half a year old.

Er, pardon me, I guess that was Aki Jekoila Starvorn? I don't know my way around the Aki's, sorry. Every time I've spawned there I've died.
I hate people.

Yes Missy that was the other AJS, where a different character landed and killed all you all off. Not a good picture there.

I've never had a char on Aki :(

But for me, the best place to spawn would be New Xanth. Great system :)

Seatown definitely! The nicest characters in the game are all in Seatown!

There's Prianna and Reaper and Lucus and all of the rest!
AND there's interesting characters too to liven things up, like Shadow and Eyes

I think the most fun for me lately has been in 草原 or 水上森林. Nice, peaceful, good people living simple lives. :)
