I've tried to get people betting on which animal attacks who...on whether the next person to enter town is male or female...and the output of a one hour project for potatoes (using the +/-20% effect)

Folks just don't seem to want to gamble within Cantr. It's strange actually.
For all the Roleplaying that people seem to want to encourage, the times a creative and somewhat different situation springs up like a gambling event, or even an attempted "party" to celebrate a public marrage, no one wants to persue things. They either just ignore the event, or cry CRB if anything remotely real-world springs up...like the concept of marrage itself! Sheesh!

Heck, I'm actually surprised this whole thread did not get shot down because "Gambling is a real-world thing, and does not exist in Cantr!" (meaning the game mechanics don't support it, so it doesn't exist at all....but that's almost like saying I can't describe splashing in the water by the lake, since (until recently) water was not a valid resource!!)
 ...and yes I'm ranting, but that water-thing happened IG, and it irritated me to no end!
