Grinder/Spectacles
I'm pretty sure I've moaned about this before...
I don't see the need for lenses for spectacles/monacles to be so expensive.
It's not as if the grinder has any other uses, or that spectacles have any benifit beyond the RP value clothes hold. As such - it's not as if there's a huge amount of value in building a grinder, or making spectacles. Thus, I doubt it will ever happen.
I would put money on there being no grinders, lenses or spectacles in existence at all in Cantr?
It's not like dress loafers, embroidered bracers and the like - where there is at least a small chance of them being a rare item, that a handful of Cantrians can show off their status with.
Why spend time designing and adding an item to the clothing list if it is obvious that no one will ever be able to make one?
Either change the requirements so that the grinder doesn't need metal, or only needs a small amount. Or, use the grin grinder instead. Or, just use window glass, or just add a different project to the glass oven/kiln...

We could make more projects for the grinder, would that be good? It sounds sensible that cutting diamonds, rubies, turquoise and what ever we got out there should require a grinder. That would also raise the value of bejeweled items. Ok ok, more primitive options should be available, but complex cutting of gems should require a tool of some sort, and sounds like the grinder might be the one for the job.

Sounds like a good plan to me - my biggest issue is just how useless the grinder is...SekoETC wrote:We could make more projects for the grinder, would that be good? It seems that the grinder is just for RP nothing more. Your char only has trouble seeing if you say so. And cutting jems and what not makes sence but once agian these things are only good for RP.
Just because I'm not paying attention doesnt mean you can yell at me.
It means you should talk quieter.
Seriously shut up, I'm playing here.
