Maybe age 18.
Allows the newspawn to play for two years and get a good character base. Also fixes the issue of newspawns looking the same as a 29 year old. The description doesn't have to change, just the age. "a man/woman in his/her teens". If someone has a problem with them being called a man or woman. Make all characters male/female. The man part just suggests gender, not age... the age description does that.
Age doesn't make experience, experiences make experience. Just because someone is 20, doesn't have to mean they are mature. I happen to know a 40 year old that I am probably miles ahead of when it comes to maturity.
Also, if children are implemented, this thread will basically be irrelevant. I support children and birth and bloodlines, etc. So, this just makes a small push to the progression of Cantrian youth.

They don't, but because of the real life comparison of 20 year olds being rather much independant and mature (at least in the eyes of 15-year-olds), newbies come to Cantr expecting their characters to be trusted and respected and given stuff because they're full members of the society. And they can't understand being called a child or a boy, because "in real life 20-year-old is a grown-up, with years of history and development behind him/her". It wouldn't matter if the characters were just being cranky but it's the players too...

You can't see if the player behind are a newbie or not by if their chars have clothes or not. I still have a char without clothes. But yes hes somewhat crazy.
And also some of my younger chars have no clothes on them.
And by lowering the spawning age won't take the inmaturity away.
If a player are inmature he will still be so even if the char is 18 or 20.
It's like taking a orange and force it to be a apple by coloring it green. It will still be a orange but may appere to be a apple.

Yeah, but first 15 sounds a bit too much. I'd imagine one to have figured out most of the stuff after that many characters, and it would be silly to notice after two weeks that you're playing 15 characters doomed to carry the stamp of a newbie for the next two years ingame. I think the number should be lower, the initial 4 or 5 characters. Or 7 characters.

As far as I can tell clothes are pointless as anything but a status symbol, and not even that good for all that.
I have one character fully clothed because he spawned amongst the dead, another character can be clothed if he can be bothered because the resources are easily available... the others have far more important things to worry about.;..
Like Phalynx but new and improved!

Yes, I do! Why not?
If we take the CR strictly, new characters spawned from free slots from old players shouldn't know how to make an alumina refiner by their own. Or what's the same, player's knowledge shouldn't be transferred to his/her new characters at all.
So, if I have to spent 5-6 years of my character's life trying to understand how tools and machines works, and even what are the sorroundings of the place where I was spawned, why not deliberate the possibility of spawning at a younger age, newspawns and free-slots-spawns?
And I'm saying this questioning myself the use of the Wiki. I mean, how does it work and how does it correspond with the CR.

You've just described the "find out in game rule." It was repealed at the same time the wiki was created. Characters are assumed to know "how the world works" from the time they are spawned, though it's certainly allowed to RP an experimentalist or simpleminded character.
