You somehow ask a question but you have your own answer in it.

What i was saying, if characters are able to improve stats , you bound to get players that play for stats instead of RP.

While you currently now get fixed things you are good at, inherented from you parents that are living in you burth place. And you'll explore yourself throughout playing cantr.

There are already many players who put a lot of importance on stats. There are players who will let their characters starve because they start with terrible skills, and the system doesn't allow those skills to improve at any sort of decent rate. Not every player can look at a character with awkward skills across the board (or at least in the places that matter for them) and see it as an opportunity to "explore themselves."

From my experience, the only skills that don't improve fast enough are fighting, hunting, and strength. The others increase at a reasonable rate.

Alas, perhaps the most obvious. I may have to pay more attention to my project returns just to see what the rest of the skills are like. The 20% deviation doesn't make it easy. Damn statistics....

I think the skill affects completion rate, not output.

Then I have no chance if I don't even know what they affect.

Well, I think one way to test it is to start a project adn then see what percentage gets done in acertain amount of time. Like I had a char who was novice at repairing, and I started a one hour project on a knife, and they only did 79% of it, so it wound up takingtwo hours.

Some other muppet can do that, this particular character is not a finisher by nature!

Umm, hello? People would then kill off the non-experts, leaving only the good ones. Then again if only one or two expert fighters were allowed per account, these munchkins would have very few characters left to play with.
