What about someone who is in control almost exlusively and its hard to tell whether its a government or a business, just orders issued lol like Seatown Forest?
In reality though, there is no one size fits all deal... and right now I'm not even talking about it from the "interesting variation RP et cetra" point of view. Certain regions lend themselves to certain governments. Depending upon 1. what governments are in the surrounding regions 2. what resources are in the region, and who controls the resources outside of the region 3. is there a potential for sea trading in a small lake or is it a large sea et cetra 4. GDP does not mean just government lol the success of an economy doesn't have to be the governments GDP lol, it can be almost all privatized or public doesn't matter.... its the overall GDP. and it all depends on how you define "success".
Some abstract examples: If you are in a region full of Democracies being a strict but effective dictator may or may not work, likewise if you are in an isolated region maybe dictatorship works or not, its hard to enumerate the exact calculus its kind of organic and changes. My argument put briefly is, no one has even brought up the fact that enviornment can effect what government type will be most "successful" if we have even definied success or "favorite way of living", so you could have one place where a certain standard of living won't be available with y government but x will work good and vice versa. I do think that the way Cantr is structured, and the way it plays out that people play, more often than not strong directives from some centralized power seem to work better at raising the standard of living. But then again, technically you could say lads GDP could be considered better than average, who benefits? most people just sit in a room all day with nothing. It really all comes back in some ways to my statism v. responsibility post in suggestions, also making people want to do more with their lives than farm carrots all day, or drill on an Iron endlessly without seeing a dime of the proceeds. I mean this is a complex issue to tackle but lets just say that a lot of the modes of running governments (and I don't mean dictatorial v. democracy) I mean the mode of democracy or the mode of Dictatorship just wouldn't work.... I mean on the one hand a Demcracy or a Dictatorship does not have unlimited supplies of foods and other industry with no logistical problems once everything has been established. There are huge natural and man made desires. Similarly, a dictatorship cannot be run by a few armed people while 30/1 peasants can't even kill one gaurd lol. There should be like some kind of overcome project for dozens of peasants to overthrow there masters, as would really happen. Now what a few of those peasant leaders do with their power is basically just take the place of their former masters, allowing for another revolution. Things just aren't so static, except rare exceptions like hundreds of years of Egyptian peace, but oppression. et cetra. lol

It's unfortunate that your character was killed by another inmate, but that had happened within' seconds of your character being put in jail. The character that killed yours had a trial and is still serving his time, in confinement.

First of all, it was my char hehe. Second, she had been in jail for quite some time before they threw a guy with weapons into the prison who killed her. But i see now, that you had to or he would attack citizens. Better the innocent prisoner than the citizen....but I do wish they had actually had a trial for her
O.k., I remember now. That is to bad your character didn't get a trial. And that's the character I was refering to that's in confinement. The one who was put in the prison and started killing.
