Lost at sea for weeks!?!?!?

I've been on a boat for years, surrounded by a sea of blue with no land in sight. I decided to change directions finally. I figured I must have been sailing away from any land. I changed from South to North East, or something like that.

Next time, write doen every coursechange and how long you've sailed that course.
Boats ere easy to steer, but it's the navigating that can be a pain sometimes. It's been a problem for thousands of years now.

1. undock
2. see the lighthouse.
3. sail to it.

Oh I knew the instructions. I saw the lighthouse. Sailed to it but ended up way off course and the land was blocking my way and there was no lighthouse. That was the start of my troubles. The instructions were easy enough but the lighthouse was sooo hard to find.

Is there not perhaps a little diagram on the instruction note that shows the directions? Perhaps it looks different that what you see on the locations page if it was included. It would be ever so like my char to leave something like that out

My char has decided he needs a faster boat. But the boat he has now was given him by a dear friend...

Give it to me, LOL, I can always use an extra boat to raid towns when I get out of jail.

Is it due to a bug you're stuck or just because you hadn't figured out that north is on the left, east down, south right and west up?

Yes, it helps to navigate by the coastline and lighthouses, I wouldn't trust putting a boat out in open sea with nothing in sight.

Hope you weren't trying to follow the lighthouse to Seatown...the lighthouse wasn't finished there until not long ago...I would guess that you are WAY west of Seatown...good luck, I've been there, and when my char got lost it was back when you couldn't see the area map out on the water, you had to navigate by keeping a very clear record of where you had been and where the coastline was.

So... don't get rid of the boat... start a Flotilla and use gunboat Diplomacy, too bad there aren't cannons to shoot 3 regions inland.

And number 4... on the top ten ways to screw up play balance worse than it ever was.... lol
