The time limit.

It's impossible for me to be a full time student. I have illnesses that keep me from doing that. So I go to school over the Internet--and that takes around 2 or 3 hours a day. After that, I'm at home, by myself, with nothing to do. I play Cantr because I feel like I have a purpose. I have two friends in real life. I leave the house once a week. If it were up to me, none of this would have happened, I wouldn't have to go to school over the Internet, I wouldn't have to be antisocial, I wouldn't have to play Cantr. But it did. And there's nothing I can do to change it. If I could "have a life", I would. So I really don't appriciate you preaching for me to do something productive, when there is nothing productive for me to do. Living in a town with less than 5,000 people total, the majority of which are close-minded and ignorant, where everyone knows that you have mental illnesses and thinks you're an insane freak and makes fun of you, isn't really a reason for me to go outside and do something with my life at this point in time, thank you very much.

I think adding another 100 or 200 minutes should help. If people are unwilling to remove it completely, then they should at least increase it. Thanks to the lag, I am down to 57 minutes already. To last me for...10 hours--and that's if it gets reset at the right time, which is unlikely.

No offense, Drew, but not everyone has as "perfect" a life as you. Some of us are severely and chronically ill, stuck inside the house with almost nothing to do 24/7. I mean, I know most people aren't like this, but those of us that do have a little extra time to play Cantr should be able to without people like you preaching to us about finding "something better to do".
My main point of contention is, keep the time limit, but do it because of bandwidth, keep people's personal lives out of it. Don't legislate how much time people "should" and "shouldn't" be online.

no one said my life was "perfect" as you would call it, but if you're on your computer playing cantr for about 3 and a half hours a day, i'm assuming you're on the computer probably double that time limit.. no matter what you call it, you have a shallow life if you're on your computer more than you're off of it. i'm not comin back to this thread because i'm not here to argue, take it to the PM if you wanna talk

call me an idiot all you want... yes, i feel for you, but you're an exception to what was said and you know it. you know that if i knew you were handicapt and COULD NOT MOVE from your computer, that i wouldn't say that towards you. The majority of people here are just people with little to do with their time.. which is a shame... and the people who try to beat on me about it are those who i'm talking about. I don't care what someone says, MOST PEOPLE can get out into the world and do better things with their time. playing cantr isn't going to get you anywhere in life....

i'm not preaching, i'm just sharing my views.. same as all of you, but a lot of you don't like my views because they're about as blunt and realistic as you can get.. people don't like reality and they thing when someone is realistic, that they are bad people..

me talking about what i do with my time was just an example of how a day could be spent by MOST people. so MOST people who say "i can't do anything else with my time" are just people who don't want to do anything else with their time... why should the owners of cantr have to deal with bandwidth problems because people are too lazy to do anything better with their time (again, most people, not you persay)..

Again, i'll get beaten on for saying that eventhough it's true. People don't like truth, they like the candy coated fairy tale and don't like it when someone's realistic.. so yeah, see ya all later.. i think i'll be exiting the forums now

gee's i wish i had something else to do with my life but outside of looking after my 4 month old baby and cooking and cleaning the only thing i get to do for myself is a it of time when he's having a nap either sleeping myself or doing something on the computer. some day's i get more time then other's so i use up my time limit. other's i don't but to say mine isn't a normal life is rather nasty. not my fault the only contact i have with the outside world is saying hello to the check out chick at the supamarket and talking to people in here and in chat room's i feel so ashamed of myself
