How Many Times???

Postby Hagan » Tue Jul 11, 2006 3:11 am

How many Times have you discovered that you have two or more characters in constant Role Play with two or more Characters of another player?
Following the Forum here I have discovered that I have a character that has a Great partnership relationship with one Character.
And now I have a newer Character that has just the Opposite type of Relationship with another Character both played by the same Member

Since the first two characters have had the longest role play time together and I feel somewhat of a friendship with the player also. I caught myself today having a hard time staying in character with the second one now. Felt like I was being cruel to a friend. Then I convinced myself I owe it to this player to stay in character and to provide a consistent Role Playing environment.

DON’T I ???

I have two characters attempting to be bad.. and I am finding it difficult to stay in character, :( BUT FUN

Sorry Nixit..

I figured you would gather the Characters I was talking about…

I try to play each Character differently so that the typing spelling etc cant be analyzed… BUT now you know…

Only two really (that I'm aware of). I don't really know most of the people behind the chars I interact with regularly, almost prefer it that way, I think.

A few years ago I found out that two of my characters were close to two of Kitty's characters, and also a few years ago I realized that three of my characters were working with three of Jerry's (Ephiroll's). In all cases it was only after relationships between the characters were established.

But maybe the player base was smaller then, or seemed to be--certainly we ran into each other a lot. Of Jerry's characters and mine, one of mine worked for his, one of his worked for mine, and one of each of ours was in a (murderous) partnership. The first were Andersen Green and Maynard Leeward; the second I won't say because mine is still alive, and the third was Lenny Ling, aka Isaac King, and Sam Hill.

Suppose it was a small world after all.

This has happened, though perhaps on a much shorter time scale with four different players, although only once where there has been direct conflict....at times it's hard to belive that cantr is not a very small world!

I suspect its more about the players who are also on forum, where such connections and coincidences become apparent, are most likley to be the involved players with good RP, therefore it stands to reason your interactions are most likely to be with them..

Maybe its Kismet

This has happened several times with me. Most of my characters are attracted to the same types of personalities, so they tend to be attracted to the characters of the same players, which tend to have similar personalities (at least on a subconcious level). I have also discovered all of these associations after the fact.

Usually the people who contact me about our character interactions are people who rarely use the forums. Most of the time I haven't a clue.

Keep at it! I guess the best roleplay-award is when someone you know later finds out by accident that you played two very different characters they happened to meet, and tells you.

Your award will be when they laugh and go "Holy Molly! So that was really you? Who would have thought."
