The 80x80 limit is for Avatars uploaded to our server. If you use the 3rd option ("Link to off-site Avatar:") you can link to larger avatars.
It is best if the width is under 120 pixels as much more than this breaks the forum tables. Generally it would be appreciated by all users if compression was maximised . This is not limited to staff members.

I know that. But I think, the limit 80x80 is quite important - small avatar looks better than the bigger ones. For example - you have "long" avatar. When you write short post, your avatar makes that post bigger. IMO it doesn't looks good.

PS. Chris, you understand Polish or someone translate it for you?

I was amazed about that as well...but it means that automatic translator not always produce word salad (if you were using one, Chris)

poltran normally produces rubbish , but sometimes you can see the tomatoes in the salad :lol:

Akurat avatar Chrisa ma sens, nie skadrowal bys tego obrazka inaczej zeby dobrze wygladal... Jedyny wiekszy avatar jaki mnie denerwuje to ten troll Cantryjczyka. Jest wielki bez zadnego powodu. Ale moze sie czepiam bo uwielbialem tego ludka ze sztylecikiem

Avatar mój akurat nie rozciąga wcale, rozciaga sygnaturka. Ale szczególnie widoczne to u Chrisa było na poprzedniej stronie tematu, kiedy napisał jedono zdanie, a avatar rozciągnął o jakieś 7 - 8 linijek. ;)

Milo - wiem, że nie dałoby się skadrować. Ale w sumie czy koniecznie musi być ten obrazek? Zwłaszcza, że wolałem poprzedni avatar Chrisa. :twisted:
