The Official Threads of Hell

Check out this part of the Gaia Forums. That page should really be called The Official Threads of Hell instead of the Chatterbox. No, seriously, it should.

And I agree with Josh; I don't see how it could fun with 3-D visuals. The one advantage to text-based games such as this is that you could be able to use your entire imagination to picture so many things, and not have it restricted with 3-D visuals.

Edited due to trying to find a better name for the link.

Is it just me or is the forum just not very interesting these days?

It's not just you... but frankly you could be more entertaining.

As the two staff programmers said, lol.. Peanut and Marol: hehe..

This guy obviously hasn't played Cantr long enough to appreciate it's for Role-Playing not Graphics.

Though there have been other attempts to make it 2D and other posts screaming out to make Cantr 3D.

My suggestion? I want you to download a 3D programming book. I want you to learn it all and come back telling me if you can even make a 3D pong yet... Oh, I know the answer friend, I do. So I'll make my reply to what you'll say in a year:
HA - HA! What'd I say!

If I ever win the lotto I promise I shall invest in making Cantr go 3d. After my 2 week stay in Amsterdam of course.

i c where u are all coming from and i wont argue, i took one glimps and that was it. i did how ever read a story line. when i brought the idea to the developers or whoeva, the staff, i said even if it was a side game, like cantr2.5 or sumfin. i have a usage at home, and games like cantr use up more usage than games like runescape. thats y i think it should go 3-d, oh and also just its a perfect game for it!

thnx for ur poll votes! (i should have made it no staff  )

The main attraction of Cantr II goes on that it isn't a 3-d game. Haven't you realized of that? If so, open the gate to your imagination.

As i've said multiple times.
Me and wichi aren't exactly the high ranked to decide...

And anyway the needs of many outweight the needs of one.
Change your isp because the one you're currently using is rubbish if what you told me is true.

Hard to make anything "no staff" here--staff is just players who've volunteered. And that, of course, automatically makes them godlike and YOU try excluding a god when they don't want to be excludeded. ed. Exclud, I guess.

I don't exactly know what is meant by "Cantr going 3D". Do you mean, like, stretch all the text backwards, to add depth to each letter? :?

Meaning cantr becomes something like runescape, WoW and all those games; more visual.

Personally 3D Cantr would just ruin it for me. No more imagination, no freedom to really RP... ever tried RPing in WOW or SWG? It's not as fun as Cantr, cause Cantr leaves a lot more to the imagination.... unlike loincloths...

3D would limit a lot of what you can do. *emoting* in a 3D game looks retarded because you character doesn't actually do the action. Here what's written is what happens so you have a lot more freedom of action and can use your imagination, to the point of being locked up as a nut if you want to. *Whistles a call out to the forum fairies who come to him, then fly around him in a fast and growing circle. He then vanishes from the thread, leaving the fairies in bewildered confusion.*
