I spent 6 months writing a comprehensive atlas, with jazzy html tags.

#&$%ing Cantr notes aren't long enough.

That's just stupid...

Note: 65535 characters is the limit... not very high if you add html tags... My atlas is 137255 characters... so I guess I'll have to scrap most of it. *sighs*

Can't you just make it multi-volumed?

Like anyone ever reads multi-volumes.

The majority of his work will go unread... he still did some nice stuff, but most of it may as well be scrapped.

You could just scape the html tags. How do make those html tags work anyways?

Tags only account for about 10-20,00 characters.... still way over

I'll read a multi-volume if it's good. You could always do a multi and an abridged. It'd be a shame for all your work to go to waste.

Rant of the day...When your work blocks Cantr Forums in their firewall, but keeps the game available.

I can play, but only on breaks, and don't have the forum to catch up on juicy gossip and news while waiiting for minutes to reset or characters to turn white.

edit- darn typos!

My rant:

My boss keeps expecting me to do work... it's just not fair FFS, I come to work to kick back from the strains of family life, have ab bit of inane chatter and play cantr... now he's talking about why I spend so much time near a computor.... Man... at least when I do work for 5% of the day its good meaningful work that acheives more than he can all week...

Anybody would think its his money thats paying me... it's the taxpayers and they have deep pockets anyhooo....

(oh for you Americans Image)

Mmm... I hate it when I run out of minutes and 10 characters light up at a time when it's usually very quiet for my characters. *sighs* And you know at least two of them are probably somewhat important to be able to check. Maybe not... oh well, c'est la vie.. til minutes reset!

(And the forums being dead at that time too really helps...)

Yea, yea, I should be in bed at 4am, not worrying about a lack of minutes... <.<

Like anyone ever reads single massive notes

I have a copy of the Paul Paulsen encylopedia, but I never use it because it's too damn big. It's unwiedly and awkward to use because of it. It'd be far better in different volumes for different islands.

If you want to keep your encylopedia in one note, sure, but please make sure you do an abridge version or one in volumes.

With the PP one, people just copy the bits that are useful to them into new notes and discard the rest.

I wasn't... I can do if you like, but I have no real evidence to back it up and to be honest despite the stereotype I see so many lazy people in my own country I think it would be very difficult to deomstrate to me that Americans are lazier!

Proof indeed that Americans dont understand irony!

Just make Volume 1 a comprehensive index... I am sure some people find them interesting but I hate the documents where, as well as usefull bits there is an account of when boring sod went to tedious town and did nothing in particular in way that tries to sound interesting...
