Very good point! It irritates me big time as well!

Is this still going to happen? I saw that someone had marked it as "Accepted". I would love a bigger space for typing in lengthy bits both in the "Talk to All" box and the "Whisper" box.

surely just a change in the templates from an input box element to a text box element?

This has been implemented as an option

Control and settings are cookie based for each character.

It has been left optional as textarea elements act differently within forms than text type inputs - Pressing enter in the larger multi row textarea just moves to an new line - In the old style single row text type inputs this submits the text.

I was going to quibble that I got on all right before, but if we can now get to a new line, that means poetry will no longer come out a mes. Very good.

Sorry to spoil all the joy and happiness that was going on here, but, I have a problem. When I try and "whisper" to someone, and type my message in the "Larger Box", when I click the button to submit the text, it comes out as if I'd "Talked to All". That's a pain in the ass, when you want to say something privately. I mean, I've only tried it once, so it might be a one-off problem... But I thought I'd let you all know.

Sorry but you can now quibble - The line throws in the textarea box are only for convenience when entering text - The stored (and displayed) text is stripped of all line throws - so poetry will still end up on one line.

Just discovered that, is there no way to save the line breaks into the displayed text? It's convenient when writing your speech, but even more convenient when someone else is reading it.

No - this probably won't be implemented the larger text box has exactly the same functionality as the regular one - Line breaks are stripped out deliberately in both cases.

Does that mean it's fixed, Chris? That's good. It might have become a pain in the neck. That was quick. Thanks. 8)

I like it! Thanks!

Just hope nobody blabbed their evil plans out loud before it was fixed. :D
