Return of the Cantr Player

Postby dryn » Mon Jun 26, 2006 9:27 am

Well my exams are over, got some holidays and to celebrate I decided to rejoin Cantr!

It is the third or fourth time (I forget ) that I have rejoined Cantr over several years of play. It got me wondering about how many others out there have this tendancy.

Mostly for me the reason is some outside event disterbing my addiction normally due to loss of internet access. After a few months to half a year I normally get back to it however.

(Edit: There was supposed to be a <5 option. Must not have updated it...)

Never!!
I've never even given -thought- to leaving cantr. My very first and oldest char is still alive and at the lovely age of 40...still has a long life to live yet. XD
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

I don't know if I'll have to leave Cantr in September, but so far I haven't taken any vacation...

BTW, welcome back!

This is my second time playing cantr, but the first time I didn't really play for long enough to get into it and I was too young really to appriciate it, only 14 I think, that was...... a few years ago, I can't remember how long ago but the game had changed -alot- when I started playing again I remember that much.

Anyhow, now I planning on playing until all of my characters die, I'm not going to make any new ones though. I figure that'll stop me playing to a ludicrous age ;)

Yeah i played once before. My charries never amounted to anything and i couldn't be bothered anymore.
I would have quit again last year if two of my current charries hadn't got themselves into interesting positions.

I first started playing sometime in '03.
I found the game too time consuming and, well... I was 14 years old.

Came back the year after, and haven't even considered quitting.
This game owns me :?

I left Cantr once after the death of my sister, but it wasn't long enough for my characters to die... And now here I am, addicted as ever

I quit once... a while ago, I guess the beginning of 2005. It wasn't so much quitting as not logging in. It was outside influences that kind of made me do that. I had net access, just a lot of crap going on then and was too depressed to log in even though it was my browser's homepage (the page we're not supposed to bookmark, that is lol). Besides, I really liked the game, just hadn't gotten enough into it (only had been playing a few months) to be properly addicted.

Now I don't think of quitting. Might be because I'm more involved in the outside community than I was before (I think I'd joined the forums to read them and made only one post then, in 2004). Maybe cutting back sometimes, or my chars will grow sleepy for a couple of weeks, but I won't quit. At least not for a while.

I had my first account time out 2 days before my internet was turned back on..

Does that count for quitting and returning? I think it was a month or two before I restarted an account....
