I hate it when that happens but that isn't as bad as when you don't time it properly and you can't attack someone for another few hours. I was once chasing a thief on the road and I started a small bit of rping of preparing my weapon...and then I found out that since I attacked him yesterday I couldn't attack again for another hour. That was embarrasing...

As for being killed by bad rpers, that's happened to almost all my chars that died as a result of being attacked. The only one I remember where there was any rping going on at all was a case of mistaken identity.

Finally.

I'll try to be general as to not reveal the character too much,
But keep in mind this character is very poorly rp'ed, and when it comes to rp'ing murders, even worse...

Doesn't match up with the one I was thinking of.

Had a guy on Aki pick up and old bone knife, come into a building and saw the one person that didn't have a shield yet and stabbed him, then left town. Three people hit him on the road, he was dead. Might have taken a Real Life hour, maybe three, something like that.

We must be getting slower, he got a word in edgewise before we killed him. Tried the "confused" defense. "What stabbing? I dropped that knife on the ground. What are you talking about?" Didn't seem to mind the crossbow hit for 44 or the scimitar for 25 more.

I always enjoy how quickly we kill off people that try stupid stuff like that on Aki. That might fly in some big democratic town like Quillanoi, get attention there, but there aren't any laws on Aki, so stupid people like that get beat down, hard and quick.
Reality was never my strong point.

Big? Quillanoi? I'm sure it's one of the smallest, established towns in that areas. It was big once, around 60 or so people, but I think that maybe due to it being a spawn point. I don't think it'd have been so large else.

What a waste.... I will disclose details later... after the proper amount of time.. To pull someone inside.. kill them.. without provocation, without cause.. without ...reason... without even RPing why you are doing it? LAZY UNTALENTED Roleplay!!!!!!!


I don't care what the reason is they have for killing.. But c'mon.. walk in , hit and go? Who ever you are.. and you know who you are... SOOOOO BAAAADDD... and it is not because I don't want my charri to die...I couldn't care less... it is all about the roleplay...OR THE LACK THERE OF!!!!!

You see I'm not sure about that... do people always explain to the victim when they murder them... if there are people outside he/she will have a story to tell or a plan hatched, but even if you are a victim do you have the right of an explanation? - I think not...

I'd go so far as to say it might be OOC to get to wordy about a sneak attack...

Why not? It's not like they can tell anyone about it, and it's not like saying at least one little sentence is that big of a deal when you take days to kill them. Even 'Nothing personal, I just wanted to see if I could get away with killing someone.' is better than silently hitting and leaving.

And I'm not seeing anyway at all for it to be OOC....

But some players have a character go into a town on purpose to get killed - and to be honest, I don't want to give them the satisfaction of giving them good roleplay.

Yeah, I mean, if you're going to kill someone over the course of several days Silence of the Lambs style, at the very least you could manage a little suitably creepy RP, even if your reason is nothing more interesting that wanting to steal a litlte equipment.


EDIT: And cantrlady, okay sure, maybe there's no need to bust out with the best RP for the suicidal newspawns, but that obviously wasn't the case with Sunni's char. (And even if it was, how hard is it to say, "You're a suicidal moron, prepare to die." )

In rebuke to that, this particular charry i am in the process of... meh, is a well established and well known, well played and much loved Charry. this charry definitely did not come to the town in order to get killed (no matter what the mindset)

If you are RPing a psychopathoc murderer then it would be in character, perhaps, to tease and torment your victim, goad them and explain. If it's an opportunistic murder, or your character is not prone to such ramblings then in fact you are explaining your self for the benefit of another player... that's OOC!
