I'm not a vegitarian... so no problem. As a matter of fact I made a fire today... with a butane lighter... too cold out to experiment. I had some turkey kelbasa. (from Grocery Store, though, I couldn't find any wild turkeys and haven't the slightest idea how to make kelbasa... not Polish.)
I made a log cabin thingy and it worked find along with a fire pit.... I didn't put enough grass in to start so I took a bunch of dead corn and corn stalks for starting fuel.. I guess the ethenol in the corn works good because it was like using dried up grass and wood kindling all in one.
That's a nice easy meal to make... I can eat a nice big kelbasa and be set for hours, along with some water. Can't say that I have tried ants... but in a surivival situation I would eat many things. I bit into a whiteout bottle once, while I was younger. I was just surfing the web and absent mindedly chewing on a white out bottle... THAT tasted bad. If I got lead poisoning back then it doesn't seem to have had an effect on me.... to my knowledge.
