Below the list of characters there is a link.

"Go to the Departments page"

way down at the bottom

Kev Milsom --- Member (Personnel Officer)

In general. And this includes me. The amount of time any staff person has to do there staff things varies with thier personal lives and their characters. Remember first and formost I am a Cantr Addict and like any true Addict I work in the Cantr lab processing raw Cantr for the street but my addiction comes first. And then I guess I have some sembelance of a life which will could start to get busier at any time now. Am I up doing staff things? No. Something interesting is happening to my chracters. I should have went to sleep hours ago.

If there aren't players for a baby, or perhaps a random chance if the mother suffers some severe trauma during pregnancy, a miscarriage or stillbirth?

*nods* "That would be cool, as a way to account for no possible babies at the time.

Nice opportunity for a family tragedy, too. We need more tragedies that don't involve whole towns being massacred.

Even when births go well, the fact that chars will learn over time IC that they COULD go badly would raise community concern/involvement.

and if the mother did lose some health during labour it would become a community thing as healing food would have to gathered to make sure that both mother and child are ok

And it would give more of a place for people who want to go into the healing professions. I've been interested in that for a while, the possibility of doctors, medicine (wo)men, midwives, etc.

I'm actually really, really hoping that the healing food idea is canned and real medicine introduced. I would rather have fruits as fruits to be eaten for food or pleasure rather or used in recipes rather than the current use. I think real medicines could add more depth into the game which could lead to diseases or sicknesses which would lead to whole new areas of careers.

Yeah. If anything, they should just increase the natural rate of healing, y'know, 'cause they're so nummeh and nutritious. :D

AND GOOD kthx.

I was thinking herbs and stuff like tree-bark at first (aspirin is sometimes made from tree-bark), later it could be combined and purified into actual "medicine".

Im surprised that noone has tried to preform surgery yet as it is. Cutting people open with sabres then giving them healing foods. Yeah you're sick inside---*SLICE*

lol

But I agree here. That there should be a certain amount of time for the characters to labor, with a certain amount of turns before teh baby is actually born. :)

That was what I was thinking. Have it so it can be primitive and then be able tp experiment and get better and better medicines.
