I had a character in the Karnon Army at around this time (Cpl Szjvröd djn Szjpké) but he was so frustrated with the ineptitude displayed by his commanders that when I had to cut down on my characters he was one of the first to go. He didn't know much about TBR except what he was told, which wasn't much; he just obeyed orders, which mostly meant sitting around doing nothing.
As for the Collective's "puppet government," the government was only there to prevent a worse system from taking its place. The Free State was founded on individualism and freedom to do whatever you want, as long as it hurts nobody; obviously that was a little naive but that was always O'Shea's weakness. He even, for reasons I'm not sure of, liked Nick, even though he certainly didn't have much reason. Not sure how you can like someone and dislike their organization and most of their past actions, some directly against yourself, but there you have it. *shrug*

As for the aftermath in the forest, I wasn't there but had I been there, it would have been much more smoother and less anti-Karnon, thanks to thickheaded soldiers and itchy trigger hands from what I heard.I wish I would have been there, my character would have made things completely different.
Yes, you would have made Blackrock Forest a part of your empire.

Agree on that at least.

Alot of people liked Nicki, for reasons unseen.
Alot of people hated Nicki as well. For reasons still unseen.
Well maybe not. I think Spider started to hate Nick when Tbr took control because Spider would have won the next election to replace O'shea in the government.

O'Shea only ran when he didn't like the other people running

After members of Firecam had killed Ethan most of his keys were lost. Later a newspawn who found the keys, notes and everything else Ethan had on him ran through the Seaside stealing steel, iron, leather and other resources out of the locked buildings, then stole a TBR Longboat. Someone sent word to Nick about the theft and he shrugged it off until one of his spies found out that the longboat was in Kwor Beach and the resources unloaded into a building there. Nick sent some people to get the resources back, the people refused and one member of the town allowed Nicks people to use her building, because Tbr had helped her get the wood and iron for it. Four people were locked up, three of them were killed and one escaped to Kwor claiming that TBR was in middle of massacring the town. Firecam once again came running, killed one member of the Tribe then took another captive. After some of the resources were back in Tribe hands, Nick sent his people home and rode into Kwor alone. He told the story of what happened and Demanded that Kwor made Firecam release his man. Kwor wouldnt get involved and so Nick said if anything happens to him Kwors leaders would pay the price, then left town.
Only half the resources were there, Spider took half before giving the boat to Lilly. The guy comes into Kwor and Spider arrives and then finds out whats going on then drags him away and seeing as he knew what they took cause the thief made notes of what he took, he left the stuff that belonged to the beach with her and then split most of the other stuff.
Bran-Muffin wrote:- Attack on Kirrin, reasons for it, and the perception of it from Noniwrok.
After the Tribe left the Forest after their years of planning then the Rush they had put on them after hearing the news of the massive army heading for them the Tribe sailed into Fu Put Kotan with hopes of finding peace at last. Firecam followed them, made a few threats then started sailing back to Kwor to report where the Tribe was (I guess). Tbr held another mass meeting and decided to give the island what they wanted, and evil TBR. We sailed into Kirrin, kidnaped the three leaders. One got away when the Galleon was left unlocked (dont know why) and so Nick ordered Llyods death for the woman stealing his boat, Celina brought her back then Tbr docked back into town. The town was empty of everyone except the 5-8 sleepers. Nick had keys then after killing Llyod and locked those sleepers up. After that they decided to leave. At that time someone brave enough docked onto their Galleon and managed to rescue the other two members they had captured. (Galleon was unlocked again for some reason.)
They were already there before you on an exploring mission, I believe they arrived by foot after searching the island(not sure, I wasn't there) and I don't remember them making threats, but then again I wasn't there. I think they were sailing away just to get away.

I never played Nayr as an amazingly smart politician, moreso as a very patriotic man. He was a soldier, and often very blunt. Liked to talk from the hip, as it were. But I never intentionally played him as stupid. (So if he was considered that, perhaps it is a poor reflection on me.)
However, in Nayr's defense, the so-called premature march on KF was (I believe) at first agreed to by Jules. If it wasn't, then there was a clear communication error, because I (the player) was certain that there was a planned attack that was supposed to occur when I'd set out. (And I was mildly annoyed when it was called back.)
We had wanted to assassinate Nick while he was still in the Forest with a quick strike team, not a whole army. I had enough people for that mission, but half of them fell asleep on me and stayed in Karnon. Naleph was waiting on the road for them to wake, so he wouldn't have followed through on the march until everyone had caught up, but by that time Jules had pulled the plug on the operation, and so no one was coming.
Naleph didn't argue the point when he was berated for the attack because an arguement wouldn't have served any purpose but to demoralize everyone around him.
I, as a player and a character, found Jules to be too much of a control freak (no offense, william). From the very beginning he never trusted anyone but himself with keys to all the Republic's resources, which in Naleph's mind was always looking a bit too much like a dictatorship. Had Naleph not always had the best interests of the Republic in mind, he might have sought to challenge Jules more often. As it was, he didn't want the hope of the Republic to suffer from internal strife, so he resolved to work with Jules as best he could. Naleph's political views were often very different from Jules... always trying to remove the absolute power that the Chief Senator position seemed to hold. Naleph wanted the power to be distributed amongst the other Senators (which eventually happened, though not with Naleph himself) and the Commanders, which was one thing that Naleph managed to affect. (He wanted Commanders to have the right to enlist their own men, instead of having the entire Republic to be at the mercy of Jules' actions.) Since he was never on the same page as Jules, it's easy to see why he was never entrusted with much power.

When it came to the forest aftermath, I doubt that there would have been any chance for Karnon to have secured it. There was resistance not only from the newspawn natives and Lopan, but there was also resistance amongst Karnon's allies. Once everyone knew that TBR had left the island, the very next thing on their checklist was to make sure the Imperial Republic did not take over Karnon Forest. And that's what happened. Jules would have fared little better, in this player's humble opinion. But we shall never know I suppose.

That is when the ENA stepped in and killed the members of the Tribe setting up the outpost. News of that was slow to reach the Forest until Nick sent someone out who was able to get a note with a list of people and a battle plan formed by Mctack and I assume Suzima.
That might have been my char if I'm not mistaken...

From my characters perspective (Major Cassius) He wanted to see them all executed... but he did not know the full story... my later character (in a new account) Would see the fact that there was no threat from TBr (as no resistance was met in the invasion) The truth is TBr were just as paranoid of Karnon as Karnon was of TBr... they all wanted peace, Karnon's ways did not allow them that option, because of the Command at that time... People like Page and Cassius encouraged the hatred of TBr... and so people failed to see the peace effort...

Killing newspawns, instigating a fight and then dragging innocent people into buildings to be butchered, kidnapping people and then murdering one of them offhand because of something someone else did...you call that a peace effort?
I think these were supposed to be the 'the truth finally comes out' threads the TBR people were wanting, but to be honest I had much better opinion of them when I didn't know anything about what had happened and there was still a good chance they were being 'demonized' for no reason.
