Crushing hematite: wrong crushing rate (hammer/sledgehammer)

Postby Pieter de Groote » Sun Jun 11, 2006 8:40 am

According to the Wiki and the free stone tables in the game, I should be able to crush 1050 grams of hematite per day when I use a sledgehammer.

One of my characters has a 30kg crushing project, using a sledgehammer, taking 57.25 days. This equals 525 grams per day, the rate for hammers.

Could this project be fixed, please?

Is it an old project set up before the change? Or does your character have a mining skill of 1? Either way, ProgD will have to look at it. Everything is fine from RD's end of the database.

It's a pretty old project. Started in 1401.

Old projects have not been, and will not be changed to reflect this update.

Why not? It's a very simple update and I don't see a logical reason why you shouldn't.

You're wrong, it isn't simple.

each project must manually be found and altered. I imagine using SQL queries directly into the game database, which means lots of effort for little effect.

I got screwed this way when they upped the iron production rate... and believe me I got screwed way worse.

Also, any expert diggers on old limestone projects don't get their skill boost unless the project was started after a certain date. They are getting screwed, but they'll be okay.

My point is, you'll pull through. :P
