Real boat and ship names
I know that a few ships and boats are named after WoT vessel types, I've read some of the series a long time ago, but I have no idea what these ships actually are. It would be nice if they were named after real ship types in common vocabulary that everyone could easily identify

WoT is short for Wheel of Time, the book series by Robert Jordan. Four of the ship types in game are taken from those books rather than reality. (I'm trusting other people rather than knowing myself, here.) If I got it right, those are: Skimmer, soarer, raker and darter.

I've never read any of those books but I like the names how they are! They're more descriptive, I think. (Anyway if they changed it to real life names I wouldn't be any better off as far as picturing them goes. And it's not like they look anything like real life ships anyway...there aren't any sails, for one thing. They're just a bunch of tiny bits of wood and sometimes iron hammered into shape glued together, like with Cantrian saliva or something.)

Why add new boats? They all require the same materials so it'll just wind up like weapons where everyone has the same half a dozen types and the rest go unused for the most part.
Now if there were some boats with unique resources that would be something, imagine a no wood boat. Reed raft anyone? Hide and bone canoe? Rubber boats?

Timber boats I think are going to be the next big thing.

I would love to see a Rubber Raft. I know one character who would use one in a heartbeat, having an issue with wood as a construction method of every other ship out there...Rubber and string would solve his fobias nicely and still allow lakeshore paddling.
