So, I've been away and...

Postby Anthony Roberts » Fri Jun 09, 2006 12:57 am

Hello everyone in the Cantr world! How are we all?

Some of you will know me. Some of you will not. Some of you will be happy to see this message. Some of you will be mad at me for being around.

I'm here on neutral terms, don't shoot yet.

I dissapeared some time ago. More than half a year ago, now? I think so. And I'm very saddened that I did. Cantr had been my favourite online game of all time. As some of you know, I used to do reviews for a major online website and when I came to do Cantr, I became HOOKED. And I played for a long time, at least for my standards. Many of you have played so much longer than I, and I admire your committment.

I, too, have committment. And that's why I'm here now. My life had gotten in the way of playing Cantr, and I'm very sorry I left without a word. You all tried to contact me, and I wasn't able to respond. It's not a sappy story, nothing to cry over. It's just a story of life.

Within the past half year, I've ascended at my place of work to a position of power. I'm up there in the heirchery (Yeah yeah, it's spelt wrong). I get to fire people. I get to watch over people. I'm pretty much a Manager, without that title. And with that position comes a lot of work. Also in the last six months, believe it or not for those of you that know me well, I found an amazing woman that I've grown to love and I have pretty much moved in with her. She doesn't have internet at her home, however, so I'm stuck using internet only at work - which, unfortuately, websites outside of the companies Intranet are forbidden. And being in the seat that I am, I kind of need to uphold that law to set a good example.

As my boss would say "You can't tell someone to use a spill proof cup, if you yourself also have a Tim Hortons cup in your hand."

So my life has totally taken over. My time for internet and games in general has become extremely minimal.

Do not fear, however. I do plan on coming back. When? I am unsure. But I just wanted to tell you all that I'm still alive, and I didn't fall off the face of the planet. I left with a purpose. I realise I put you all through a hell of a lot when I left without a trace. You all had to make changes and adapt to my departure, and I'm extremely apologetic. I will surely do what I can to make up for it. I really, honestly, wish to make up for my err. I don't want people to dislike me and hate me for what happened. It wasn't in my control. But I should of still given some warning, and I didn't. And God, do I feel guilty.

I hope some of you can forgive me for what has happened. If not, I'll have to live with it. But do know I care, very much so, for Cantr and it's players. Without the players, Cantr is nothing, and you all were a blast - and I'm sure you all still are - to play with and work with.

I leave you with those words to chew on, while I get back to filing papers for... well... dirty work that comes with my position. I do hope you all are fairing well with anything, and I do hope I can return soon. Even if just in the smallest aspect.

Not to get emotional, but I really love you guys. You were ALL wonderful in your own way to me, no matter how much some of you "tolerated" me rather than "liked" me. But to each their own, really.

Back to work for me. I miss you all, I want you to know that. I'll be back. Sooner or later. Hopefully the prior. :)

Good to see you're doing okay. :) Life can be like that; I'm sure most of us will forgive you. :P I'm sure some of us will still be around when you can come back. Ciao, and have fun doing the dirty work that comes with your higher position!

A! My darling!

Do you realize I spent the last 6 months traveling all over Canada searching for you? You said you had your own apartment and I was really anxious to "snuggle" with you there, especially after my feet turned black from frostbite.

And now...NOW! You say you are occupying a seat of power!!! Do you know how much girls like men with power?

*sigh* OK, it's not too late. Dump the girl (she was just practice) and come back to me!!!!!! It will be even better now that you know what to do.

Love and kisses, kinvoya

PM me with your arrival time.

:)

It is good to hear from you again. You left us in a bit of a tight spot (me just having joined your department and all), but I understand how life can throw things at you. The delight of hearing of your (eventual) return far outweighs any ire I felt about how you departed.

Good to hear that's all's well with you.

Don't feel bad about leaving Cantr. You have real money and sex now - Cantr's only a low-budget substitute for those of us craving one or the other...
